A charging point beside the bed for my phone would have been useful. The room door was difficult to open.

We were booked in to a hotel at Buckingham Terrace for our annual trip to Glasgow west end, However on arrival it had been closed by Environmental Health. Owner recommended your hotel & we were able to get booked in. Only problem was the time we had to wait for a Taxi!

The bed was made up as a twin, when I asked for a king-size double. I wasn't offered any alternative to pre cooked fried and scrambled eggs.

Breakfast was standard stuff Room was on the small size, but there was a good variety of accessories in the room, ironing board and safe for example.

The place could do with a general facelift. I'm not even talking about facilities here. A lick of paint, new carpet. It's surviving due to convenience and location. It's not a 'bad hotel' as such but it's a 2 star through and through rather than a 3 as it's advertised. It's very much borderline as to if it's value for money and as part of a half decent hotel chain it should be better.

Shower facilities not fit for purpose - need a better system, so everyone can get a hot shower Cleaning - inconsistent service Breakfast - service too slow if you fancy boiled or poached eggs instead of scrambled or fried; cappuccino or hot milk with coffee not offered :-( . . . yet Didn’t appreciate the early morning deliveries to bear nearby M&S petrol station whrn they woke me up but that’s not the hotel’s fault Lunch/ dinner menu overpriced imo

It's says double bed but it's wasn't really because they joined two single beds together. And joined part of ( middle part) wasn't comfortable at all. It was keep splitting .

Rooms are good size and Facilities are good for amount of stars.

The window was open - ot was broken, so wouldn’t shut. The lock on the door was impossible to turn. I requested a floor not above the first floor, and was given a room on the second floor. I requested a quiet room, and was given No 211 facing the all-night petrol station. So WHY ask for requests on the booking form if you cannot meet them?

Fire alarms were set off 4 different times while I was there. Never did quite come to an understanding with the shower, where every knob somehow controlled temperature but never the same way twice. The room had been vacuumed but not very well as there was still done dog hair in the carpet from a previous guest. The bed I had was king size but made of two smaller mattresses pushed together. No issue with that but the mattress covers were torn and kept coming off, and there was no fitted sheet, only a flat sheet laid over the top that wasn’t big enough to tuck in, so it basically meant waking up on the bare mattress every morning. Nothing terrible and would stay there again, but the sheet thing seems like kind of a low bar even for a budget hotel.

It was cozy and it was clear effort is being made to freshen up the building. Possible to walk to central Glasgow from the hotel, but it’s a substantial walk… 40 mins or so. There are plenty of bus stops nearby. Restaurant on site was nice and the staff there were always very helpful. It was a good value for the money, and I would stay there again for that reason. They also have a really nice taxi call system that works at the lush of a button, which was really convenient.
