Tired and tatty bathroom (nothing like the website photos). Some of the soft furnishings (chairs and carpets) were also stained and tatty looking. Very basic breakfast which seemed a bit short staffed.

Super helpful receptionist who went out of her way to wait and check us in even though we were arriving late due to traffic. Beautiful old building with period features - oak panelled bar and lovely gardens.

The staff. They were not very friendly and we seemed to be an inconvenience. Also On checking in we weren't given any guide as to the facilities in the hotel provided and where to go.

Bar and restaurant is still lacking a bit in atmosphere maybe more choice of beers and largers a few large plants or something to match the style of the hotel would be nice.

First time actually inside the main hotel and the rooms were fine easy access to the carpark and restaurant.

Bar windows and shelves were dusty. Entrance looked tired, but the experience got better from there. The lift was out of order.

Great value, plenty of parking, good food at dinner and breakfast and great staff.

A bit noisy as there was a wedding party which went on until 11pm but after that it was quiet. We had 2 rooms and the lighting was faulty in one room and it would have been nice to have one light on each bedside table.

Comfort and space. Great breakfast but not included in the price of the room.

There is lots of car parking space, and a lift to get the luggage to the room. The dining area was well catered for with TVs to view while relaxing. The breakfast compliment was fine.

We arrived in bar 15 minutes before last orders but we're told we might be too late for food. Bar person returned to say order now and you can eat so we were rushed in to our decision. Food was excellent when it arrived and the bar attendant was subsequently quite attentive and chatty. Just a shame our arrival seemed to panic her.

Having stayed at Park House on numerous occasions, the reception and the room were as expected and the welcome excellent. The bar food in the evening was good too

It is obviously an older dated property, however All areas were spotlessly well cleaned and looked after as best is possible.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating Providing excellent guest orientated service. Central location close to local amenities with very good parking.

The room was clean and tidy with lots of space. Huge bathroom with a spa bath. Beautiful 4 poster bed with period furniture. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Older property that could do with a few touch ups here & there. Price of breakfast a little steep for the quality.

I literally only booked the room on the morning of our arrival, not knowing what time we would arrive but hoping for 6.30-7.00pm. I requested a parking space and a double room with ensuite facilities. We arrived almost on the dot of 6.30pm, easily found a parking space and made our way to reception. On checking in we booked a table for 8pm in the restaurant, were warned that there was a large Wedding Party Reception taking place and the bar may be busy. We were directed to our room after a quick chat about attractions in the area, certainly the Severn Valley Railway looks like a "Good excuse for a return visit". Our room was upstairs in "The Lodge" and was lovely, with a good sized TV, plenty of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits cleverly tucked away on a sliding shelf inside a cupboard. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed proved to be very comfortable. We went down to the restaurant area and the chap serving us could not have been more friendly and helpful, even getting drinks for us from the bar and having time to talk to us about our journey and visit. The staff were all very busy but all had time to take time to talk to us. I laughed at the bar man, when initially I thought he was walking along, stooping slightly, holding the hand of a small child, in my defense I could only see him from just above the waist up, it was only when he got to the gap in the walkway I could see he was rolling a beer barrel along - I knew what he was doing on the second and third trips which occurred while we were still in the restaurant LOL. Clearly the Wedding guests were a thirsty lot, but they were all well behaved and didn't disturb our visit at all. The location proved to be perfect for our purpose and if we ever have to return to this area we will certainly try to stay here again.

My room could use a paint and the shower curtain was stained

The hot water was not switched on in the room so the shower was cold but I didn't realise until after I had had a shower that the switch needed to be on as it wasn't labelled. I paid a holding deposit on arrival and then the total amount was deducted afterwards, This is normally fine and I have done this several times before in other hotels, however it's now 4 days on and the holding deposit is still pending. I know that this is to do with my bank also but I think a better system should be in place as I am now low on funds.

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was spacious. The food in the bar was excellent and it had a great atmosphere. It was a short walk into town so the location was perfect for us. There was plenty of parking space and the surrounding gardens were lovely.

Cozy, we loved the old time country style atmosphere, the huge bedroom, as well as the garden. Dinner was very tasty, well beyond our expectations and breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff!
