- really small room and still quite expensive, but that's London - window didn't really close so it was always an bit chilly in the room

- very good location - super friendly staff (arranged for early breakfast for sunday morning before the time the breakfast staff came, which is not standard for such a small hotel) - really good value for money for London - continental-style single-lever mixer tap - makes showering and even just washing hands and face so much more comfortable! - breakfast surprisingly good for a budget stay

The location was very good, just beside Hyde Park and near the tube station, everything was reachable even on foot. The room was nice and the breakfast was also good. It was an old-style hotel and pretty enough for a short trip.

It was a little run down and the room was disorganised and a bit confused. Looks like someone has tried to provide more storage but mDe it feel cluttered in the process.. lost its identity.

Locality was great, it was quiet, it felt safe, although the hotel was run downa little, the hospitality and welcome was great and made up for this. I was comfortable and did what it says on the tin... no frills accommodation..

The breakfast was amazing, hot full English that was self service with fruit and cereal, and plenty of drink options. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, we were able to leave our bags on our departure day. The room and bathroom were very clean. Perfect location. Will definitely stay again.

There is not elevator so it is a bit challenging for the luggage hauling. But coming down is a breeze.

Good typical English breakfast. The location is excellent. Although the hotel is centrally located there is no loud noise. Really friendly staff and lovely office dog! The hotel was a great choice for our family.

Needs a lick of maintenance / deep cleaning. Not awful, but a bit tatty. But then their prices would go up - so good value for money.

Excellent location close to Marble Arch Tube, busses / city tour busses, walking distance to some points of interest. Family atmosphere/ run. Friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed. Simple but sufficient breakfast. Quiet area.

Beds could use upgrading

The breakfast is absolutely fantastic. We were unhappy with our room in the basement as we could hear the subway at night , however we asked them if they had an alternative room and they were excellent about finding us a suitable room. Staff is fantastic and the rooms are reasonably priced. The hotel beds need to be updated but it’s clean and the staff are the best!!

The rooms are old, even for European standards, so we could hear everything and in some areas of the room the floor was giving in.

It’s nice located, easy to reach and visit other areas. Staff was very friendly.

The only negative was the stairs, we were on the third floor and the stairs are quite steep but we knew this in advance so were prepared.

The staff were warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable, spotless and had everything we needed. The breakfast was amazing, plentiful, great quality and served with a smile.
