We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United Kingdomin the late evening when the fire went out , they could not relight it and we would have loved to have stayed in the lounge but it wasn’t warm enough. Not the hotels fault, but perhaps for the future people could be a little more sympathetic at breakfast ….. a child was watching an iPad of peppa pig and it was annoying to hear it whilst enjoying my food and having a conversation with my husband, with that in the background. surely parents could entertain their little ones and encourage them to eat rather than watch-or have ear phones so that other guests aren’t disturbed.
the staff were very friendly. our room was at the front and had lovely views over the garden, however it was not that big but adequate for our 2 night stay. we did try to upgrade but they were full. The food in the restaurant was delicious and again the staff friendly and attentive.

United Kingdomwe were only able to watch BBC2 as all other channels kept breaking up. we reported the fault as we left and they assured us they would look into it. this did not really affect our stay which we enjoyed very much.
everything, fabulous dinner and breakfast. choice of lounges all with log fires. All the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us.

United KingdomThere is nothing that I did not like - depending on what you would be looking for, this hotel is located in a secluded area (which was the selling point for me) and you would need a car or other transport means to reach the nearest town - it all depends on your preference.
This is possibly the best hotel I have stayed at - it has completely exceeded my expectations. It is situated in a private area away from the road, and the scenery is the best I have seen. Our room was also upgraded and it was so spacious (the decor and the space felt royal). We had every facility we needed such as hair dryer, iron, wifi, TV etc. The restaurant was amazing, everything was made out of fresh produce and it felt like a Michelin restaurant - I was seriously impressed, compliments to the chef. We also had parking space and could see the car from the room. The hotel is like a mansion from movies and I will definitely bring my family and friends here to experience it as well. There are gardens within the precinct of the hotel which can be seen on beautiful walks. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to spoil themselves, reconnect with nature, have some peace and quiet, and eat well.

United KingdomThe one improvement the hotel could make is to get better mixer taps especially for the shower - it was difficult to regulate the temperature.
A beautiful location with large rooms in a stunning location. The staff of the hotel are really excellent, offering a much nicer experience than a standard corporate hotel chain. We felt really looked after, without being overwhelmed by too much service. Breakfast was really good and the breakfast/dining area is lovely. The same is true of the sitting room - we had a couple of nights finishing off a bottle of wine by the fire, which was magical. Dinner was great for a special occasion. I would love to come back.

It was very obvious that the normal chef was on a day off (understandably!) because the food was not up to the very high standards of the previous days. Also the young waiting staff were very slow and needed better guidance.

United KingdomI wasn't impressed by our room as it was supposed to be a luxury double. Mishmash of decor, only a double bed in a small room and the shower was only one where you have to mix the bath taps so likely to go hot and cold. When you are paying over £170 per night, a luxury double has to be just that! However I would go back but would insist on another room which are to the standard that I had booked.
Loved the setting, loved the hotel, the staff were excellent and it was a very relaxing place to stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Easy to find and set in stunning surroundings. Staff were very welcoming. Our room was clean and exceeded our expectations. Lovely bathroom and the shampoo was amazing!
