Check in is 1.30pm didn't get into our room until after 2pm clearners should still have an eye for detail even though they are running late the bed was made like someone had just got out of it.

Lovely hotel nice big rooms, nice to have a bar and restaurant in the hotel so didn't have to go out and find food.

not the fault of the hotel as it’s an old building, but being in a ground floor room we could hear every footstep and phone alarm from the room above which was a little annoying at 6am

very quiet location with lovely countryside views. Room was very comfortable, comfy beds and plenty of pillows which is always a bonus at a hotel!

Property is being built at the rear of the hotel which is a shame as you don't want to sit In your room watching diggers & trees being cut down. The views are beautiful if you can ignore the building work!!!

The room was freezing cold and had a musty smell. The noise from the flat above was very intrusive. Only warm place was in bed. Needed a king size duvet to match the bed.

Staff were very welcoming and cheerful. Very helpful. Couldn’t fault them. Food excellent.

The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and good countryside view. Good evening meal with attentive service but cooked breakfast wasn't served hot but tasty none the less.

For the two night stay we were there, nothing could have been better.

We were staying here to attend a wedding at another venue. The Pilgrim Hotel was convenient for this. Hotel exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly yet professional. Very accommodating. The hotel is having a kitchen refurbishment but the hotel are very transparent about this and have tried to ensure this does not affect the quality of the food. They are operating a limited menu but which has something for everyone. They are asking people to order cooked breakfast in advance which is a good idea. This means it is freshly cooked. I would stay here again if I was to visit this location in the future.

Rooms could do with being updated. Bathrooms need a refurb and more powerful showers. Walls between rooms are thin, I could hear someone snoring in the next room, it kept us awake. I was cold too during the night, even though I slept nearest the radiator.

Price was good. Food and drinks were excellent. Bed was super comfy.

Could hear door slamming quite often. Only 1 packet of biscuits. Biggest problem was a fire alarm went off at 8am waking us, that’s not the staffs fault but to come out to them laughing, they seeing me and still laughing and no apology was not on. On check out no apology or no question on how our stay was (also took an age for reception to come despite pushing the buzzer a number of times). Staff are nice enough but work to be done on customer service.

The renovated room is gorgeous. The view is lovely.

In our room on the ground floor we could hear every footstep and conversation in the room above.

Easy to find, plenty of parking and convenient for exploring Herefordshire. Friendly staff and lovely steak pie dinner. The room was clean with comfortable beds and a lovely view from our window.

Really digging deep for a fault here, I'd say add a hot chocolate to the tea and coffee in the room?

The food was amazing, by far the best Tikka Masala I've had in my life - nice bit of spice and very flavorful. The naan bread was also very fresh, soft and tasty. Highly recommended. Very bubbly friendly staff. Good selection of beers/ cider. Beautiful old building with lots of parking.

No communication from booking.com...the hotel only got us down for 1 night but when I booked 2, had a phone call to ask why were not checking out. Staff did apologise, we were lucky no one had booked into that room for the Sunday night.
