My bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. There was hair in the bath and on bathroom floor. Cleaned it myself before use

The bedroom was quite small but there was enough storage space and good amenities.

The location was convenient, the bathroom was spacious.

The room was very basic, and looked very tired, as did the corridors and public areas. The room window looked into an internal courtyard, which was very unattractive and littered with junk.

The car park is a good size with plenty of spaces. The hotel is convenient for the ferry and town. The evening meal was good with a good choice of food on the buffet/carvery.

Bed was really uncomfortable and it was supposed to be a superior double. There was also a constant droning sound coming from the roof, sounded like a water pump or something like that but was running constantly until approximately 1am.

Dinner is always good value and tasty, great location and very friendly staff.

    1. The smell of musk, as soon as you get in the front door. 2. Rather dated rooms, need some love 3. Cleaner knocking on my door in the morning at 9.30, check out is at 11am.

Lack of plug sockets. Sounds silly but I like to e able to charge my phone by my bed, especially after a long day and to chill in the evenings. TV was great however... as a smart tv apps like Netflix etc should be available for guest to log into to offer a different option in the evenings, especially for solo travellers. Only one small light worked in my room also.

Nice location, centrally located and good parking. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Bathroom and shower facilities were fantastic.

Room access through the weird residents' lounge feels odd. Feels a bit overpriced for a basic stay.

A comfortable bed and decent sized room. Handy as a stop off when ferry is delayed! Bar is well stocked and it's handy to have food on site.

Skylight in double room was draughty and noisy as was catching the wind which was made even worse with the blind closed. Dog very unsettled due to the noise. Bed very soft and when 2 people lying on it rolled together. Staff in restaurant were busy on the night but waited around 20 minutes trying to get hold of someone for drinks at table but ended up paying bill and leaving.

Hotel central and withing walking distance for everything in the town and quiet area round about. Staff were great friendly and helpful in hotel nothing was too much trouble. Good information about dog friendly areas in Stornoway. Hotel was clean and tidy.

The ventilation system. We had to ask to move from our first room as it was too noisy.

Great location for our island hop. Restaurant was good and staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
