My shower/bath had issues meaning I couldn’t use it. I had to rush to work so annoying not to be able to use it on my first morning But the staff sorted it out as soon as I let them know later that evening.

The staff were really lovely and helpful. Comfy beds, clean sheets, good breakfast

Maybe just a tiny bit overpriced.

Room very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast excellent. Top quality staff. If your walking the MacMillan Way this is a great place to rest and revitalise.

Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and a really good breakfast. For a 3 star hotel it is punching above its weight. Location is in the very centre of Bourne so walking distance to most places.

The shower was badly designed although fitted with a big shower head it had no separate function to turn on the taps. So in order to get the right temperature you had to turn on the shower and reach into the taps which was awkward and could have been hazardous. I mentioned this to reception when leaving. They were aware of this defect. The view of the chimneys outside my window was charming but it didnt let enough light into the room. The size of the room was a little claustrophobic and was a little overpriced at €444.00 for four nights. The breakfast was very good, granted and the service was friendly. There was no real presence of a personality ie hotel managerabout and never anyone on reception as it was more of a guest house than a hotel it seemed. Why is this hotel called the Angel as there was nothing to convey that idea? Lastly, there was a very unpleasant strong smell on the first floor. I can only describe it as stale toffee smell. That's the nearest I can get to it. It was strong and unpleasant just the same. The scaffolding on the outside of the hotel looked bad. In the four days I was there I didn't see any sign of work being carried out.

My room was up in a cozy attic type room whereby I had to climb steep stairs to a loft. The bed was comfortable and the sea side theme was very interesting. It was all painted blue akin to a little boys room really. A full English breakfast was indeed a highlight at the Angel Hotel and there was a good choice of breakfast options on the menu. The hot pot of tea was always nice at breakfast. The decor was old school but classy and very tasteful. A jug of fresh water was welcome in my room every day and the room itself was always fresh and spotless. In all a pleasant four nights stay.

Through no fault of the hotel. The people in the next room were making a lot of noise in the early hours 3-4 in the morning and woke my friend and I.

The room was nice, clean and the staff were friendly.

I liked everything about my stay

I liked my room wonderfully decorated and furnished with a colonial theme harping back to the days of the Raj. The positioning of the hotel in the centre of Bourne Town was perfect with free car parking behind which is not owned by the proprietor and a bit tricky to find. The staff were warm and friendly and the breakfast was splendid..

The family room was well appointed with a double and single bed, tea/coffee and a nice size bath/shower. The full English breakfast was exceptional, served with a pot of tea. Cereals and juices were also available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking in the adjacent public car park was a great bonus.
