When I booked this hotel I was a little suspicious how can you get a 4* hotel with breakfast in this area in December for such a great price…it must be something wrong. But it wasn’t, everything was excellent! Of course I can’t compare this hotel to some premium hotel chains cause that wouldn’t be fair, but for the price you pay, you get really the best room, breakfast, comfortable bed, daily housekeeping, great view (the Shard), own bathroom, ect. It really contributed to overall London experience, we loved it!

It's about a 15 minute walk to the nearest underground station

The staff was very nice. Rooms were spacious and clean. The shower was incredibly big, which was a nice surprise.

Room was spacious but the layout was a little odd. There was a huge desk that dissected the room at an angle which made it a bit difficult to maneuver around. Breakfast options were fairly limited.

Good value for London. Room was comfortable, location suited my needs and breakfast was included. Staff were friendly and polite. All in all, a decent place to stay, if you don’t mind being a bit away from central London (although Bermondsey Street has some excellent cafes and restaurants and Borough Market is a 15 minute walk). Nice to have coffee and tea available in the room.

For the price the continental breakfast fell down on detail - bread / pastries should be fresh . The automatic coffee maker flat whites etc not good. It was the sort of brekfast you would see in a budget hotel. Small details matter.

The breakfast was so boring, no hot dishes, scrambled eggs, baked beans, sausages or anything - very disappointed with this, i did expect more from a 4 star hotel.

Our room had a door which appearantly could be opened from another room. And this happened during the night, maybe by accident or just curiosity from the guests next door which woke me up.

Very friendly staff and friendly lady at check-in desk. Good breakfast and very good beds. Good walking distance to London Bridge.

The cleaning in the room, objects of previous guests and problems to refund deposit 52 days later with I putted a lot of complaints.

Choice of TV channels was v. limited. Took a bit of time to get seated for breakfast, and then the staff sat us down at a table that was already occupied.. bit awkward.. There was quite some noise from the neighbouring room.

Great view of the shard from the room. Not as 'boutique' as it felt last time we stayed (8y previous). Bedroom was comfy, the decor was a bit tired and poor selection of TV channels. Great location though, near great food and the Bermondsey Beer Mile.

The breakfast was cold buffet. I would have liked an option to upgrade to a cooked breakfast (it's November, I wanted something hot). However, for my needs, it was enough to start my day - a hearty cup of tea, some toast, cheese, pastries etc. There is plenty of choice (meats, coffees, jams, fruit, juice, cereals etc - even nutella :)) To be honest, there are plenty of great places to eat nearby, so I wouldn't let this deter you from booking - its a great hotel, and I am glad to have discovered it.

Check in was swift. Supermarket opposite, so great for getting some snacks. Room was spacious and quiet. Shower was "rainfall" (not my thing, but I know people like it). I appreciated the fridge with some orange juice in it, and the tea/coffee station (the biscuits were tasty too!) A good hairdryer, and eco toiletries provided (shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste etc, no conditioner though) In a nice "London" square that I'd not been to before. The artwork in reception is delightful - particularly liked the giant dog. :) The layout of the bedroom is quirky, but actually makes very efficient use of the space. It is cleverly done! The bed was really comfy, and I was grateful for that. Despite being in London, I was not disturbed by noise overnight or in the morning - so was rather surprised when I checked out to be next to such a bustling road.

We needed to go to reception with the key cards a couple of times due to an unknown issue. Not enough room at breakfast for everybody, people needed to wait a little. Not enough light in the room after turning on the light

The hotel rooms were cluttered, curtains not fitted, wires hanging down, bathroom had much limestone in particular the showers. Intermittent stop of cold water one day, so only very hot water, which as inconvenient showering. Breakfast understaffed and quality not the best, no care for detail.

Location was great for what we wanted to see. Also the neighbourhood was great, small cozy places to snack, drinks or eat. the day to day cleaning was good.

Would like a separate hand shower in the shower instead of just the ceiling rain shower for when you don’t want to wet your hair.

The room was nice and spacious. Had good amenities. The breakfast was good with option to have continental breakfast and comfortable to sit, nicely decorated.

Room was a bit dusty and hairs in the bath but this didn't detract from the overall experience.

The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a top floor suite and the room was large and spacious. Was also nice to have a balcony. Location was good with a tube station only being 10 minutes away and buses outside on the street. Some nice restaurants and bars in the local area also.
