Roof leaked in dining room. Water pouring from roof over guttering keeping me up all night each night Maintenance failed to visit one of our rooms to repair the tv. Bar staff never at bar and always having to go find them sat with other staff at reception. Staff disgruntled about being made redundant which we accept and sympathise but they just moaned all the time about it and seemed to forget we were guest. Not being told hotel was due to close so standard of customer service didn’t seem to be present. No evening restaurant. Breakfast was ok and edible, self service but not a great selection.

Lovely young lady welcoming and serving us at breakfast. (Sorry we didn’t get her name) she worked so hard to welcome everyone and help those needing it. Grounds were pretty although a little worn and unloved.

Cooked Breakfast wasn't the best but the continental style offerings were fine and quite acceptable given the price we paid.

Lovely faded grandeur and quiet location. Red Squirrels in the garden. The bed was very comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

ROOMS MILES APPART LOADS OF WALKING HAVE TO GO UP IN THE LIFT THEN DOWN FLIGHT OF STAIRS TO GET TO THE ROOM.WINDOW JAMMED DIFFICULT TO CLOSE DECORE SLIGHTLY TIRED IE CARPETS.RECEPTION TOO FAR AWAY TO DROP OFF SUITCASES.JUST NEEDS SOME TWIKING TO MAKE IT REALLY GREAT.Toilet too close to the wall

Not a great deal to dislike. Its a typical coach tour hotel, clean, a little bit dated in parts.

Excellent location for public transport. Very quiet residential location but only 5 minutes walk from bus stop and railway station. Room small but perfectly adequate. Plenty of hot water and decent shower etc

Car markings are a little complicated in that some have been rubbed out or overprinted but we managed.

Our second visit to this hotel. We like the rooms and comfy beds. It was clean and recently decorated rooms and VFM for a family of 4. The entertainment on the night we went was good and our type of music.

Breakfast could have been better supported by staff replenishing as items emptied eg tea coffee canisters milk etc and some of food areas. Was a bit hit and miss

The shower head or pressure wasnt to strong , really tiny plates in breakfast area was a bit pityful, tv very small towels could have felt softer but otherwise good

The cooked breakfast The scrambled eggs were disgusting They smelt and tasted foul. The Bacon was so hard and it was all stuck together in a sheet of rashers. The tea and coffee tasted stewed. Sadly the breakfast let the hotel down.

The room was clean and comfortable The grounds were well kept and tidy. The staff were lovely. For what we paid we were very happy I liked the croissant and fresh fruit and cereal options thankfully there were there otherwise would not have had anything to eat as the rest of the food was awful

Hotel felt like it was midway through a renovation. Our room was in a very poor state. Different sections of the hotel feel in different stages between modern and tired.
