I think they mentioned that the shower was in the bath which would have been an issue for my mum (who is 76) but I am sure if they requested a room with only a shower, it may have been provided.

Lovely room. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice, quality and quantity. Excellent location and the staff were exceptional. I booked this for my parents and they absolutely loved it. Nothing was too much trouble. Would book again.

Beautiful, clean room. Lovely little touches like fresh milk available for a cup of tea and chocolate and biscuits left too. Good internet connection. Lovely responsive staff. Even made me up a little bag for breakfast when I explained I would be leaving very early.

Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. Loved the choices of tea and coffee in the room. There were little bottles of shampoo etc and a good har dryer. Beds were super comfy with nice quality linen. Lovely warm atmosphere. Would recommend.

If the wind direction was right the ceiling tiles in the bathroom would lift and clatter down, this would drop bits onto the clean bathroom, making it look less clean. Easily rectified by shutting the skylight.

Excellent breakfast and we were very well looked after. Single room was small, but very comfortable. Generous selection of drinks etc in the room.

I can't think of anything.

From the start of my booking until the end of my stay, the hospitality provided by the owners was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the added extras in the room were unexpected and valued. The bed was super comfy. The location is brilliant being less than 5 mins to the seafront and pier as well as the town and buses. And I couldn't forget to mention the freshly cooked breakfasts and delicious muffins each day. All in all a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

Only downside for me was a poor internet connection. But as it wasn’t a real priority for me and I didn’t tell them, I didn’t give them a chance to try to improve it. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby provided access so it wasn’t a real problem.

Location was perfect. My room had a side view of the pier. I had everything I could possibly need. Even a teapot as well as a choice of a mug or teacup. Bottled water was also provided. I had 2 armchairs and a good sized tv. The shower was a good size with plenty of hot water and toiletries. Breakfast was a really good choice on hot plates with a teapot and additional hot water. Fantastic friendly service every day. Brilliant.

Charming little guest house, run by a lovely couple, who really look after their guests. Super clean and comfy room, with everything we needed including bottles of water, biscuits and even chocolate. The towels in the bathroom were possibly the most luxurious towels we have ever had in a hotel, and we travel a lot and have stayed in some great hotels. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Located within easy walking distance to the sea front and Clacton Pier. Perfect for a weekend get-away.

There was nothing to not like.

The Chudleigh is charming. It's like an old-fashioned b&b , with excellent facilities, helpful welcoming staff, very close to the seafront. Super comfy bed. Generous teas, coffee etc and plenty of towels We really enjoyed all the extra touches on offer - chocolate, muffins etc. We highly recommend.

The hotel was run by a lovely very friendly and welcoming couple. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Couldn’t fault it at all, I will be back next time I’m in Clacton. The location was also perfect for my requirements.

It was a beautiful little place, close to the main town center, The rooms were faultless, modern and cosy, me and my partner both said it's like staying at home.
