Absolutely nothing

What a gem! We always travel with our dog so aren't often able to stay in places of this quality. Carol and Peter are charming and their many years of experience are reflected in their attention to detail. Every need and comfort is included. Parking and unloading on their forecourt was so easy and was followed by a warm welcome. We had a room on the ground floor and it was light and airy with an amazing array of drinks awaiting us plus cookies and chocolate! The bathroom was excellent with a full array of toiletries(even a make up remover flannel). The towels were white and fluffy and so soft(wonderful after a summer of rough towels in France & Italy!) Breakfast was 5* with everything you could think of😊. A choice of 4 fruit juices,stewed prunes, grapefruit segments,fresh fruit. Cereals, yoghurt,toast and a full menu of hot options including smoked salmon and scrambled eggs ( we've never had that in a breakfast included) Finally the LOCATION is perfect - a very short walk and you are on the seafront near the pier. Great for Clacton parkrun. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The WiFi didnt reach out room very well (our son sat by the door to get connection for his tablet) but downstairs it was great for my work video calls.

The owners and staff were lovely and the hotel was cozy and clean if a little dated. The breakfasts were great although I think investing in a coffee machine (even pods) would make it that much better (but I'm a bit of a coffee snob).

An ideal location with parking right outside.. staff were very friendly and helpful.. the room was very clean with everything you would need. The quality of bed linen, pillows and towels were very high.. The window furnishings were superior. Lots of choice of teas and coffees, biscuits and even a chocolate bar.. The breakfast on offer was very varied for all tastes, freshly cooked, plentiful and delicious. We would recommend this place and we are planning on returning in November.

Breakfast was beautiful and set you up for the day. Even after I'd checked out was still allowed to use the over flow car park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location close to town centre, beach and gardens.

The proprietors where such wonderful hosts the room I was in was very reasonable priced it was so clean I have stayed before and will most certainly stay there again the breakfast was wonderful nothing was too much trouble it deserved being recognised as runner up I would have to say they are the best in clacton

This place is fantastic, it is a stones throw from the beach and has everything you need. The staff are great and very helpful. I actually booked the wrong date originally and I had a phone call asking when I would be checking in, which made me realise this error. The lady was able to move it to the following day without an issue. The tea and coffee selection in the room was brilliant and had biscuits and chocolate as well. Would definitely come here again if I ever return to Clacton.
