The room and bed were too small given the price of the room. Also there was lots of peeling paint in the bathroom and the bathtub creaked and wobbled when trying to take a shower.

The location was good, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was nice, I liked the decor.

My room was very small and rather dark with not enough space. I understood that it was the standard room. Breakfast menu with prices shown should not show for the guests paying for bed and breakfast. but a separate one with the prices for others paying for bed only.

My breakfast was quite good except hard toast.. My room was clean and tidy. The location was excellent.

A bit shabby in places but was clean. Lots of stairs and up down along landings - fine for us but something to be aware of if you have mobility challenges.

Summer duvets, aircon, parking and great staff. Breakfast was exceptional.

Some of the rooms are up in the gods with no lift available and can be "cosy", so check when you book if room space is important to you.

We have stayed here many times and always found it a great place. The place is relaxed and the restaurant serves a varied menu, all of which will not disappoint. Quality of the furnishings also is worth a mention, just a little bit more than your regular hotel and the hotel is located right in town with easy reach of the Thames. Good secure and free Car Parking, but limited.

Car park has 1 Disabled parking space and is poorly signposted, so non disabled persons occupy the space. This is our third visit and same problem each time. Lack of a good mirror in bedroom or bathroom.

Although the room was comfortable, the stairway and corridors were “tired” and a coat of paint would improve matters! There was a rather concerning sagging floorboard in one of the corridors!

Breakfast was excellent. I ordered Smoked salmon and there was a few minutes delay as they were waiting for delivery from the Fish merchant! You can’t get it much fresher than that!

We stayed for 2 nights and there was a wedding reception each night so it's obviously a popular venue. We weren't aware of this when we made the booking - would've been good to have been advised.

Lovely old building and our room was great - oak beams, four poster bed, roll top bath - looked just like the photos. Staff all polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty - good selection - freshly cooked to order and well presented. Air conditioning in the room was much appreciated due to the very hot weather. Excellent location with easy access to the Thames and the town center. Also easy to get the bus in to Oxford.

No comfortable chair in the room. Plenty of space for one or even 2 comfortable chairs but there was only a very small, unpadded and upright chair by the dresser.

Spacious room and lovely bathroom - with huge towels and bathrobes. Room quite quirky with 4 poster and very comfortable bed - we loved the very uneven floor as added to the atmosphere but might have been disconcerting for some. Restaurant good for dinner and breakfast.

We were sent to the wrong room (paid for executive and sent to one that was not) I phoned them and they said an error had happened which was fine. then they asked if we could bring our stuff down to reception, where they then checked which our room was and gave us the key to then take our stuff back up to our correct room. it would have been helpful if someone had come up to help us with the move or had come up and just given us the new key as the room was right next door. In the room that was the wrong room there was also no phone and in our correct room the shower was very small and weak

really great location and the rooms are designed uniquely. The staff are friendly and the location is ideal, parking is free and easy to find and use. breakfast was very yummy and the bath was really nice and filled up quickly.

evening meal taken in the bar (as we had a dog) was not great - several of us had some items on our plate that were cold. Overpriced for the quality served. I should have raised it with the manager on the evening because he was very disappointed to hear of our concerns the following morning. Rooms are in need of a refurb which we were informed will be happening but they are clean and quirky

hotel staff were exceptional, it was quaint in some respects and was perfect for a one night stay. Residents had an excellent choice from the a la carte menu at breakfast and you could literally choose anything and everything- very accommodating

The Greek yoghurt wasn't quite what I was expecting. It was mixed with cream and sweet, but perhaps that is more popular taste.

The decoration and dark blue colour scheme of the bedroom was cosy. The breakfast - Eggs Royale was absolutely fantastic as was the Feta Salad the night before - all beautifully presented and remarkably fresh. Service was very friendly and quick.
