Entrance hall and stair case needs refreshed. Carpet has seen better days. No breakfast available yet leaflet in bedroom says continental breakfast can be ordered. Very loud singer/guitarist in bar Only two draft beers available - not a great lover of Guinness or Tennants

We werent informed the whole front of the hotel would be covered in scaffolding and renovations were ongoing. There was no wardrobe in the room but 4 hangers supplied with nowhere to hang them.

It was a great location for visiting other areas.Bed was comfortable and food was good. Sandra & Jackie were really helpful and friendly.

The slightly overpriced drinks but that more than evened out with the low price of the room. There was scaffold up at the front for some work being carried out, but these things are necessary and didn't bother us.

Very reasonable priced room for one night although I did feel the drinks where slightly overpriced. The breakfast in the morning was good, well cooked with decent ingredients. The bar lady was friendly and the atmosphere in the place was warm and cheery. Dog friendly rooms and bar. The bar had a nice fire.

Downstairs the bar & also the toilets are not very nice at all. They need work asap.

The room we stayed in was clean & had everything we needed. The rest of the property is in desperate need of refurbishment.

The room was not value for money at £180 per night. By far the worst room of the six we stayed in and the most expensive. It was dirty, had no view and was a throw back to old B&Bs of 40 years ago. In fact, the whole place needs deep cleaning.

The staff were excellent, the breakfast was great. The location is amazing.

The hotel needs an enormous amount of money and TLC spent on it. Structurally and decor. It's tired. Masonry is litterally falling off the facade and not being cleaned up. The room itself looked OK, but the bathroom was grim. Toilet didn't flush properly, so always paper floating about and having to flush at least twice. Tiny shower and just totally uninviting. Beds were lumpy and saggy. It makes me sad when owners make zero effort and just grab the cash regardless. Most staff were friendly, some looked miserable. Overall, for one night, it was alright, but anymore, and I would have left.

    Staff friendly, location amazing.

We chose the Ferry Inn because we like real ale. Only 2 available at the most. One was weak and the other one was off for the whole of our 2 night stay. There were hangars but nowhere to hang them. The windows all had mould along the base of each of the small panes. The loo was impossible to sit on without manoeuvring around the sink. The base of the bath panel was rotted and dirty. We wished we could have found somewhere else but we think we found the last room in town.

The location was fantastic. We were allowed to park in a nearby hotel which was useful. The towels and curtains were new.

The room we had room six was above a kitchen area that had a big exhaust fan running all night. The noise was very loud and we had very little sleep. We thought it may be turned off after 10 pm.

very small room, uncomfortable beds with rock hard pillows, in general the room and the hotel itself was in very poor condition. I understand that it's old but it was in a sad state of disrepair. There was also nowhere to hang our clothes. Not even a hook on the door for the jackets.

A very dated room, small toilet and oversized sink which made a very uncomfortable bathroom visit, shower was fed from bath taps with very poor pressure, food was good, be aware of the service charge, there was no parking, the price was expensive compared to previous accommodation during our NC 500 tour, and this did not include breakfast as the others hotels did, £180 paid for this non pleasurable experience.

Location on the harbour was very good 👍
