The room was very small, just enough room for one person to walk round the bed.

The food was really good and the outdoor seating area was excellent.

One very minor point would be to take your own hairdryer if you need one, as the one in the room wasn't very powerful.

Great location, literally minutes from the ferry with lovely sea views from the pub garden. Rooms were very comfy with everything we needed. The breakfast was outstanding, such good value. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Perfectly placed for us to walk to Ryde along a coastal path, which you can get on pretty much opposite the Inn. We will definitely be back!

Only small niggle was bed was too soft for me - I like a really firm mattress.

Lovely friendly welcome when I arrived - chose the venue for the location to where I needed to go & the proximity to the car ferry. Lovely food & great service.

See above, plus specifically at dinner the main course of liver and bacon that we chose, was, to us, very poorly cooked. The calves liver was so overcooked and hard that any nutrition was totally destroyed and it could have been used to sole my boots.

Overall the breakfast was fine. The downside was the bacon being very fatty and for me, undercooked. Our room was comfortable but had a poor outlook, namely The Bins and a very untidy corner of the grounds. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more friendly and helpful.

The mattress was too soft and transmitted any movement from my partner, but that is just me. The bathroom was dated and would have been better with a shower cubicle rather than the bath.

The staff at Fishbourne were absolutely great. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly. It was off-season and so good value for money. We had a light breakfast but the choice for regular breakfast looked great. The rooms are up a narrow staircase and through two doors, so may not be a good option for those with small children or those with restricted mobility. It is walking distance from the Portsmouth ferry so would suit foot passengers. The bus transport links are close by and so a car is not at all needed.

Cleaning was a bit skipped here and there (especially in the bathroom which is a bit outdated), but it did not bother us too much. The room itself is nicely decorated and made up for it.

The staff was exceptionally nice, made our stay very pleasant. The location is great, right next to the ferry and 10 minutes walking distance from the abbey / bus stop towards Ryde or Newport. The vibes of the hotel is great, it was ideal for our 3-night-long getaway as we wanted to stay at a semi-remote location in comfort.
