Was perfectly located for Ambleside & the lake. The breakfast was lovely & you could up the biscuits & coffee for your room. The car park was really helpful as we didnt have to park in a public one. Will definately return here.

We had some issues with the first room we were allocated. The shower and toilet were separate. The toilet was very compact and low. The shower room was tiny, and the shower was impossible to get a comfortable temperature. I tried to adjust the strength off the flow and it came away in my hand. Reported to reception staff and requested a room change. They were very accommodating and gave us a ground floor room. It had a wet room style bathroom. This became lethal as soon as it was wet! The floor wasn’t non slip. The water accumulated round the toilet so it was impossible to use the loo without paddling! The drain in the shower was unfinished, as was the sink unit. The electric mirror wasn’t working. The main light into the room wasn’t working. The room door opened onto a roadway. All in all a very pleasant hotel but with several H&S issues. .

We booked a small double and there is defensively emphasis on the small! In addition if you do book a small room there is no door to the bathroom it is more or less open plan so if your booking the room with someone, make sure it’s someone your comfortable listening to go to the toilet, because there is no privacy

The property was clean and the location is perfect. Beds are super comfy

Needs some tlc... Shower knob fell off. Shower head far too big for shower cubicle Asked staff at check in if we could have an earlier breakfast..which should've been at 07:44. Said she'd pass this on to breakfast team. Turned up in the morning & restaurant doors locked! So ended up going out on our hike minus breakfast! Had breakfast the following morning. Asked for full english. When arrived no sausage?!

Nowhere to park when we arrived as this is offered on a first come first served basis, even though we only arrived 5 mins after check in time. Pet prices a bit excessive for one night at £30 per stay, i feel a concession on this for one night stays could be considered.

Lovely comfortable clean room with nice furnishings and facilities, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, hotel very nice throughout.

We had an upgrade to room 33 in the Log cabin across the road from the hotel which had nice view .However the shower/toilet was very small so the washbasin was separate being in the bedroom section.I think most people like ourselves wash hands after using the toilet ,just think you could spread germs on toilet door handles etc specially as we are now more aware of this since COVID.

It was fresh and modern a really nice hotel and a good choice at breakfast.

Window in bathroom didn't close properly so a bit drafty. Some marks on unit in bathroom and bits not cleaned.

Lovely hotel in a good location. Great views. Nice big rooms with a good sized bed and large bathroom. Nice bar area. Friendly staff. Breakfast room nice. Good choice. Breakfast nice enough but could be better.

Parking was expensive. Couldn’t park at the hotel due to limited spaces and people parking badly! We did find that we could have parked at the roadside in the disc zone overnight but we had already paid for parking at this point. They do have reduced fee in from 7.00-7.00 but if you arrive at 4 like we did and want to check out around 10 if costs around £12 to park. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable
