I've never been in such a bad smelling Booking before. The cost of 150£ for a night for 3 people on those conditions is absolutely outrageous. The smoking smoke and smell was so intense as well it was hard to breathe

The only positive aspect was the location even though you have the street noise as it was advertised

The room was very dirty. It was completely different to the images on the website. The windows were partially boarded up and weren't well insulated so the room was freezing. The radiator also didn't work. The carpets were stained, cracked ceiling, wonky furniture.

    Comfy bed and good location.

For £200 this was a glorified hostel with a window that didn’t close and a shower that had seen better days. Avoid unless desperate

The room was awful, room 14s walls were filthy as was the bathroom, the windows had an awful draft. Room 1 was slightly better the walls were dirty but weren't as bad as room 14, the drawer wasn't attached in the set of drawers, and the bedside tables weren't stable, the bathroom had no soap in it and the window was boarded up. There was rubbish stuffed in one of the drawers in room 1.

The location was decent walking distance from shops and bars and restaurants.

Fine for a cheap place to sleep after a night out

Mould in shower and bathrooms. (Mould spray is only £3 from the shop, why can’t this be fixed?) Glue mouse traps in the rooms armed with a wotsit (crisp). (Not only inhumane - I accidentally stood on one!) There was no key in the lockbox outside our 3 person room. We were offered two different rooms instead. There’s no staff available and also no phone number. I had to stand outside the room for an hour waiting for a response on booking.com. You don’t always have hot water.

Beds were comfortable. No staff to complain about being noisy after a night out. Would compare to run down student housing but with clean sheets. I do not recommend unless you only want a cheap place to sleep.

It's tired, basic but fair at the very low price for Brighton and location.

Clean comfortable bed, clean towels, plenty hot water. Tea/coffee facilities good. Location on seafront is good near everything.

It is in a poor state, requiring repairs. Windows broken, windows not locking. It needs a lot of TLC. Has so much potential.

Functional. I would not describe it above this. The location is amazing - it is right on the seafront in central Brighton.

3 flights of stairs not suitable for elderly people. No such thing as view , stated maybe noisy as in bustling area. Instead of noise we had the constant smell of the Indian restaurant below. Filthy carpets , no side lights ( socket not working) damp patch in the corner, rusty shower rail and windows

Apart from location , nothing else , didn’t realise it really was a very very basic and tired hostel

The room is in horrible condition, with parts of the ceiling falling down, and signs of water damage on the carpet and walls, the bathroom door not closing properly. The building needs a renovation ASAP. Definitely did not get the advertised sea view, the window opened to the alley next to the Indian restaurant, which was quite smelly.

Great location, reasonable pricing, own bathroom, The bed and bathroom were cleaned properly

Only 1 double socket in the room which was at skirting board level, half way along the bed and nowhere near the table, so you have to move the bed to use the socket e.g. boil the kettle. Pokey little shower sprayed outwards everywhere except on me. Horrible black lino in the bathroom lifting in places. Carpet not clean, window covered in the remains of an adhesive film, and it doesn't close properly. The smell from Burger King below wafts up into the room. Noise all night from people emptying bins etc below. Narrow and steep stairs up to my room (room No12).

    It had a bed.
