The rooms are outdated and smell musty and old.

The bed was not the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in.

The Mill House is in a delightful spot in a wooded valley above a rocky sandy cove. We booked The Cottage, a lovely hideaway by the mill stream, and an attic room in the main building. Both were delightful. The staff were helpful, going out of their way to meet the particular dietary and health needs of our family.

Many areas of the mill are tired including our room....although comfortable. The decor needs refreshing in all areas. During our stay the weather was cool and showery with sleet on one-day. However the three log burners in downstairs areas were not lit. This was a shame as it would have given the setting far more ambience. That is not to say it wasn,t warm but lighting of the fires would have been lovely for guests sitting in the bar area. The Port William down the road had theirs on which was beautiful.

Location is very pretty and walkable to the beach. Food was well presented and delicious especially breakfast.

Our only minor observation was the room could use a little work to refresh some of the decor. This in no way diminished our enjoyment of our stay.

We loved the location and it's such an interesting and historic building. The food is excellent, as were the staff.

Could have been tidier as the paintwork on both the inside and outside was very tired.

The breakfast was out of this world. The quality and presentation of the breakfast was truly outstanding.

That the bar was supposed to be open until 2300 but at 2230 the staff said they were closing and we had to leave the bar area. Bed was also very creaky and quite hard.

    The food was really good.

Although I did like its rustic charm, it could do with updating, nothing major, just little things.

The location is great, the food in the restaurant was lovely, both breakfast and evening meals were very tasty, the staff were very excellent they made me feel very welcome.
