Room a bit small and no Air conditioner, even with window open it was hotter inside than outside

3rd floor room, 3 flights of stairs. But I didn't mention I am poorly, so that was my error. The shower didn't have any hot water, just warm in the morning, and it wasn't obvious that they'd plumbed it incorrectly as hot was cold and cold was hot. Only when I got out did I notice the small note about it on the wall above the sink. The WiFi on the top floor was poor.

Beautiful building. Friendly staff. Very clean. Central, easy access location with very close car park. Good facilities in the room. Lovely fixtures and fittings in the bathroom. Sit down shower area particularly pleased me! Comfy pillows, firm bed. Great value for money.

The noise at night is awful. Saturday night and I was unable to sleep until 4am due to the people screeching and screaming outside on the high street. I was on the front side, it could be different at the back

Staff entered room without permission to tell us to turn the TV down - we we’re both half asleep. Woke to find a strange man in my room. Not impressed really.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Gloucester and is perfect for visitors to this historic city. The staff are very friendly and I enjoyed the informal atmosphere. Most of all I liked the black cat that visits the courtyard.

TV aerial signal very poor, could not get the free view channels. Alerted reception to re-tune, but was still not fixed. Bed sheets too small, kept retracting off the bed by the hour, leaving an exposed mattress.

Nice to be in the town center. Nice excellent friendly staff.

Unfortunately the room wasn't clean and we found food under the desk with the lamp on and other areas of the room were unclean. There was an odd smell throughout the whole property. The beds weren't attached to the wall and were on wheels so moved a lot.

The staff were so kind and helpful. The shower was excellent.

I will say that the only down fall about our stay was the neighbouring room to the left of us , had the Tv on all throughout the stay to wake up at 4 am and the television still on until they left at 9:20 am. Also the sting smell of blow in the toilets , at certain times of the night and early hours can only think that the neighbours were enjoying themselves and a little chilled that the Tv was still on into the early hours…

We liked that it was in the heart of the city, my daughter is attending Hartpury Uni and we wanted to take advantage of the city for a 2 days and night

When we booked we pre filled the information but we had to manually fill the forms at the property again. This was our first hotel in UK so not sure if that’s the norm here to not provide toiletries, slippers, etc. hand wash and shower gel was available. There was no air conditioning, we had only one small fan which wasn’t enough. We assumed that every hotel has air conditioning and didn’t check while booking.

Bed was too low & hard to get out of each time & very uncomtable. Also glass shelves were all loose once again as per previous visits, tightened up before they did damage.
