We had three twin rooms for our group and one room stank of sewage which seemed to be worse at night. The occupant has a huge nose which means he smelt it more than most people!!

Check out was 10am. This isn't ideal if you've been on a night out. 11am would be better! Parking was ok but the process could be improved... Having to pick up a key card before and dropping it off after was a bit of a faff.

Room with a view fantastic but a warning for those sleeping lightly, it's on a busy road with passers by untill late. Although It was a Friday night and didn't affect our stay.

Very spacious room, good room decor, and upgraded fixings for an older building, lovley original features still present throughout. Friendly front of house employees. Didn't eat or drink at the hotel, but the bar looked to be busy, yet relaxed when passing. I would recommend staying here, we stayed for 1 night, parking was convenient, and only £10 for 24 hours in the multi-storey behind the hotel, just a min walk. Shops, pubs, cafes, and the sea front all right outside your hotel.

The bathroom could’ve done with a little more ventilation as the window in there didn’t open. The staff member who was on the desk late at night was unreasonably rude, condescending and miserable, to the point where it affected the rest of our stay; when we checked out it was the same staff member who checked us in (who couldn’t have been more lovely), and had we not had the experience we did earlier in the night, we would’ve stuck around to chat a bit, we also would’ve had breakfast, but that guy really left us with a bad taste in our mouths.

Check-in and check-out was very easy, the reception staff who greeted us on both of those occasions were incredibly nice and helpful, really warm and welcoming and it was a pleasure to have spoken to them. The room itself was very spacious, great view, clean to a good standard, WiFi was also reliable. Perfect location, right by everything you’d need.

Poor water pressure but you have to except this being an old building. Breakfast finished at 9.30 I would had preferred 10am

Perfect location and great value for money. Room a little dated and could do with modernising/decorating. We had everything we needed and it was fine for just the 1 night.

Food was not good ,paid for breakfast but only had it one day , very average,bacon sausage beans scrambled eggs,no mushrooms,no veggie options which I am veggie, no fried egg,very basic ,fruit options just berries mixed together no choice , didn't have evening meal ,but heard that wasn't good either

Our room 414 was cold and the shower stayed so hot and it would not find a middle heat it was dangerous Also breakfast was mediocre

Very dated, paint needs a freshen up. Breakfast was starting to run out of bacon etc and we went down at 8.50. Had to ask for tea and coffee.

Rooms could do with updating. Window wouldn't close, a little more detail to cleaning around taps, toilet basin, mirrors and light switches needed but would return for overnight stay.

Situated on sea front. Clean bed. Breakfast really good, buffet style. Choice of full breakfast, cereal, fruit, tea and coffee. Room well serviced with tea, coffee etc. Bar prices cheaper than in town. Conveniently situated for town, harbour and Princess theatre

Only one lift. The room was on 4th floor and was cold, even with radiator on. Drinks and meals were expensive. Would not go there again.

Rather absurd that you could only pay your car park deposit in cash very inconvenient as I like a lot of people don’t carry cash any more Breakfast only average this time.coach party before us seemed to have eaten all the food and replacements were slow to come out
