How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Carpet had marks on
Close to town centre and clifftop.breakfast was nice scrambled egg bagels really good. was continental breakfast usually prefer cooked breakfast but was happy with everything.modern looking bathroom nice to have large containers of shower gel etc.could bring hot food back to room.was good to meet somebody when checking in.(last break away had to check in by yourself didn't meet the owners).

Very good, nice and clean room and buiding. Very nice and friendly owners. Delicious breakfasts. Close to the beach and other touristic places. We liked staying there and would highly recommend to everyone who wants to visit Bournemouth to stay in this hotel.

They could take the rubbish away daily.
The place is very near to the beach and the centre. The bus stop is also very near. The room is nice and cosy. Breakfast is good.

Everything was great!
Extremely clean and well thought out rooms, with multi-plugs, a table fan, good storage space and a super comfortable bed. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the hosts lovely.

Nothing. (It's located a little walk from the pier, but it was close to some great bars and the location was much quieter because of this and it's easy enough to get to the centre along the lovely beach scenic route or the quicker route through the streets).
Very clean, lovely presentation. Beds and pillows were so comfy. The fan and the fridge were great additional facilities. The staff we met were really friendly. (Shop on the corner was convenient to use too!).

I would have preferred a king size bed instead of a double bed as I have long legs.

Not a complaint at all but our room at the top of the house was quite small. However, fresh decor and so clean.
Really nice Victorian (I think!) little townhouse. Very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Very friendly, welcoming and hardworking owners and staff. Good location within easy walking distance from the beach and the town centre. Parking wasn’t easy on the road as it was half term/platinum jubilee weekend. Very close to a small car park where we always found a space.

My only comment was that the room was a little small for a triple .. I had thought that in the picture there was more space . Next time I shall book the quadruple room at the front .

Shower wasn’t user-friendly (even though beautifully designed).
Perfect location for shopping and clubbing, a 5 minute walk away from shops and Christmas Market. Property was beautifully furnished and staff were personable and welcoming.
