Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe rooms are not perfect when it comes to details like lighting (there is no small light by the bed, not even the bed table), the cladding in the bathroom looks lousy and the rooms on the ground floor have no privacy on the terrace with their private pool, as everybody walks around there. The dining area is open with no option to sit inside, which is inconvinient in colder weather. The lookout towers and the spa were not finished in April 2024. The beach is grey sand with pebbles, which is not my favourite, but not so far from here is the golden sand beach which I trully recommend to visit!
Alia is a nice place and I really liked its malasian impression. Appart all the flaws mentioned below we really enjoyed our stay and especially we enjoyed the local kitchen and family vibe this place has.

IrelandJust wish there was more facilities of transport for people who don’t/can’t drive yet. Bustop is quite a distance from the hotel.
The room was clean and spacious. Staff were so warm and welcoming, great hospitality!!! 2 mins walk from the beach. The place is very quiet and safe for sure, loved that! Will definitely come back next year.

United KingdomOnly that guests of the hotel still had to pay for a sunbed on the beach - I thought that we should be able to use the sunbeds as we were guests of the hotel.
The staff were lovely. Beautiful rooms. Great pool.

United KingdomNo USB to charge mobile in the room. The lady next door asked me to charge her charger as living in Greece had the right connections She was not prepared for this inconvenience. She had travelled from another country and hence also was surprised that a new build did not cater to the modern requirements. The freezer in the fridge needed defrosting. No ice try in the freezer. No umbrellas are available around the pool nor around the sun beds. Breakfast was lukewarm with greasy eggs. No milk in the room provided for the coffee and no t-bags. The coffee in the room was expresso capsules with no instructions on how to use the machine. No normal coffee in sachets available. No welcome pack in room on how to use anything Room 416 had squeaky floorboards under the upraised bed. The 2 bamboo poles next to bed were loose and not good to hold on to for getting down from the upraised bed to the floor..
Location was good. Cleaners were pleasant and courteous.

United KingdomWe arrived in the early hours of the morning and check in was very simple, however there was no cot in our room upon arrival (which had been confirmed from our booking). We were told none were available and co-slept with our baby for the night. No big issue for the night as we asked again at breakfast the next day and they found a cot for us to use for the remainder of the trip. I had a lovely massage however when paying I was told it would be 10euro more because she did an extra type of massage (extra charge was not mentioned at the time). It made me feel a little awkward at point of paying and would've put me off getting another. The bed was a little noisy. No major issue, but found myself trying to turn over very quietly so as not to wake a sleeping baby haha
Loved our stay here and absolutely would stay again without a doubt. Firstly, the surrounding location was superb. Haraki was MUCH quieter than nearby Lindos, but still really accessible if you want to go. Although, most of the restaurants in Haraki seemingly offer the same food. We were staying in the Gaia beach complex (thought we were staying in the other building) which was absolutely beautiful and the distance between the two is much closer than anticipated. We could avail of facilities (pool, breakfast etc) at both sites. Our room at Alia was fantastic. We had our own pool and view looking out to the main pool and beach which we could see from our bed! We were a stone's throw from the beach (stoney beach but very quiet and private). The bathroom was also great, with a lovely bathtub and window looking out to the room and view if desired. Hotel staff were very attentive and helped us with any questions we had and were quick to resolve any issues.

United KingdomThe old location rooms need refurbishing which I understand is planned this winter. There was a leak from our ceiling and a rattling AC requiring us to move roomsThe new beach area pool has no shade to speak off which made it unusable for me
Staff were helpful and friendly. They responded promptly to any issue. The downstairs rooms in the “old” location with direct access to the pool were comfortable and perfect for hot weather

United KingdomDuring breakfast fruit and veggies were cut and left open there for long, so the flies had access to it and the coffee was bad.
We decided to stay in the most economic building, but we were allowed to use the big swimming pool. The staff was very helpful and friendly, Especially the lady that cleaned our room (sorry didn't get her name), she is a credit to the hotel.

FinlandI got food poison one day when we ate lunch in Galia. Otherwise the food was fine. We had prepaid all meals, but after that I unfortunately did not wan't to eat there anymore :( Also in restaurants and by the pools in both hotels was usually other people leftovers, trashes, mugs etc. The hotel was so very far away in a tiny Charaki village. There was not much to do. You have to use taxi or rent a car. But if you want to enjoy sun and your partner and relax, it is the perfect place for you! And don't expect too much of their gym. Equipments were almost all broken 😅
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned daily and looked nice. Very good air-conditioning! Quiet place. Not much children or other noices like partying etc.

Greeted by friendly and helpful member of staff after a delayed flight. They had upgraded our room to one with a private pool which was lovely. With a great location right on the beach.

United KingdomI think due to it being a new resort, the area outside and between the two resorts (due to construction etc) are quite run down and need a lot of working on. Also the food was very below-par, each day the food was more or less the same and lacked taste, with debatable Heath standards due to flies and stray cats being around the food/restaurant area constantly. The stuff also feel quite robotic and lack any real understanding of customer problems. When we first arrived from a delayed flight we were not offered any complimentary snacks or even water (as we paid half board and technically were owed a free meal). So we had to go back to our room without any food or even water to drink from the receptionist, she just didn’t show any compassion for our situation arriving so late…
The beach front suites had an exceptional view with private pool just outside, with lovely seating area and onlooking a stylish large communal pool with bar. The property is extremely clean, varied activities such as spa treatment and entertainment at night, which gave the resort a nice atmosphere, professional and very sleek.

GermanyBreakfast could be more varied and food could be replenished more quickly. otherwise there is nothing to complain about.
We liked it very much. The facility is beautiful and we felt comfortable. We liked the food - but if you want it spicy, you'll need to add salt and pepper. There is a very beautiful sandy beach nearby (Agathi Beach) which is easy to reach by car. We'd love to come back.

IsraelThe pictures and information you see here are very misleading… our first disappointment was that it stated there was a gym, when in reality the gym is 2 or 3 mediocre equipments in this wodden gated open air little place (no AC). Don’t expect to use the gym at all. Also, it looked waaaay bigger in the pictures than it actually is. Our initial reaction when arriving was disappointment in the property. Also, you get charged extra for waaaay too much stuff, for example the beachfront. Also, not every building is beachfront, you might need to walk 5 minutes or take a golf cart to the beach, main restaurant and main pool.
The pools were amazing, the hotel room and bathroom were amazing.

NorwayThey forgot an extra bed, but quickly had one set up. This was 100% not their fault, but the bus that was never on time was a challenge 😄
We stayed at the budget part of Alia. It’s quite simple standard, but we had everything we needed. It’s very close to everything in Haraki. The cleaning staff was super friendly. What we really appreciated was that we never felt like budget guests, everyone was very accommodating and service minded. We had access to everything except the private pools (naturally). The airport pick up service was also good 👍

United KingdomBecause we ended up staying in the newer beach front development there were clear teething issues as also highlighted in previous reviews. Whilst staff are lovely and helpful they are a bit disorganised at times. There is not yet a computer system and bookings were paper filings. So when we arrived after a delayed flight our initial room had someone there already. We temporarily stayed one night in another room then got upgraded to a higher class suite. But on another night someone tried the door with a key which seems to be same mistake again. WiFi signal was poor in the rooms but workmen were coming around to fix that. The beachfront suite does limited ala carte breakfast whilst the original Alia suites does buffet which offers more selection. Gaia beachfront site doesn't have a working nor staffed reception (still being finished) but the Alia site reception was not manned at 6am prior to our early flight, so we had to leave the key with a note (we already prepaid).
We stayed in the new Gaia beach front suites which is separate to the main original Alia suites down the road. The location is right by the beach, free parking and the rooms were well appointed. The location was perfect to walking into Haraki for delicious food and tavernas. The beach view was great and insta worthy. Air con worked perfectly. For June it was quite good price for six nights and a pool. The breakfast buffet selection was kinda decent between hot and cold foods. The pools were cool but refreshing in the heat. They even gave us an inflated float for our young child which was a nice gesture. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. Bed was large and comfortable. There is a 200m walk between the two sites but they also have a buggy for luggage transfers.

GermanyWe stayed in the Beachfront building in a Luxury Oceanfront Suite with private pool. The pictures looked amazing! However, when we arrived we realized that the resort is brand new and still under construction. The room we stayed in had clearly just been completed as there was still some construction dust/debris in the room. The shower walls had been wiped down after finishing the caulking but had not been properly cleaned. The private pool had lots of dust and debris in it. The main pool was partially filled with water, the swim up bar was not yet completed and unusable. When we first arrived we could not find anyone in reception at the Beachfront location and had to check in at the reception at the main building. Our room did not have a trash bin nor was the WiFi working until day 3 and was unreliable when it was working. It was obvious the hotel was not fully ready to accept guests and did not meet my expectations because of that. Breakfast at the Beachfront hotel was a la carte with a limited menu but you could go to the main building for the buffet breakfast if you wanted to.
We loved Rhodes and were pleased with the room accommodations once we settled in. The grounds will be quite beautiful once all the work is complete. The staff that were on hand were all very kind and helpful. I spoke with the owner/manage multiple times throughout our stay and she was always helpful and able to get us what we needed. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was amazing and the large pool was quite nice to swim in. The breakfast at the Beachfront hotel was delicious but a limited menu. The location is walking distance to Haraki village and only a 15 minute drive to Lindos village.
