How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The hosts are incredible and always there to help you, or answer your questions. As my wife said, is that kind of place "with soul" where you can stay, not only between cold walls. Ilka and Stelios are two persons that makes you love/like them instantaneously.

- very clean. The apts. are cleaned very well -the bed is very comfortable - the kitchen has everything one needs: toaster, coffemaker, Mosquito repellant, etc -all the doors and windows have misquito nett -the owners are very friendly and helpful - the entire stay was very comfortable

It looked amazing, better than the pictures, the host was very nice and helpful. The apartment is big, the terrace is so cozy, you have everything you need. Another amazing thing, they were cleaning the rooms daily

Our hosts were really lovely, everything was really nice. It was close to the city center but away from the crowd. We had a terrace. They cleaned every day. Lidl was 3 minutes away with car. I forgot my debit card and and they texted me immediatly to go back to take it. Higlly recomend this place, will go back next time when I am in Thassos

There was nothing at all.
Loved everything about Anthos apartments. Location was great,central for all amenities. Hosts Ilka and Stellios were super helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Room was a home from home and well equipped. I would 100% stay here again. Great location for buses,ferries and town centre. Beaches are some of the best i have been to.

We were very satisfied and for the second time, we came back to this house. It is big, bright, very comfortable with amazing landscape of high mountain and forest and beautiful view of gardens around with nice sounds of singing birds. And more important than everything is Mrs. Ilka and her family who are super friendly, kind heart and very helpful even beyond our expectations. Without a doubt, we can say that we had a much better experience and comfort than any four stars hotel we were in before.

I recommend it 100% to anyone who wants to visit Thassos and stay in a lovely place. It is one of the best in Thassos, with amazing landscape, beautiful and comfortable place and very kind owner, Ilka and her husband.

There was no such thing
Everything was great! We felt at home. Upon arrival on the island, the hosts kindly offered to meet us. During the acquaintance, Ilka treated us to cold drinks, which was very cool after a long road. We fell in love with our room at first sight: perfect cleanliness, a very comfortable bed , a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need and even more.The view from our balcony was magical on the mountains and the green garden. The beautiful territory of the hotel, it is immediately clear that the owners put a lot of effort and soul, caring for it! I would like to thank the hosts separately for their sensitive attitude to their guests, help and solution of any problems.When we are going to Thassos again, we will choose only this place to stay and we will advise all our friends to stay here ! Thank you so much , everything was great!!!

Our hosts were lovely, very pleasant people, helpful, kind and eager to give us information about the island, its beaches and the tourist attractions. The apartment was very clean and, even though the rooms were cleaned daily, our hosts were very discreet. We appreciated their care for us and their discretion at the same time. They offered us drinks when we arrived and vegetables from the garden and their general vibe was that of kindness and hospitality. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious and clean, a short walk from the old port. We would recommend this location to any of our friends visiting Thasos.

Everything was perfect, the hosts are very kind and hospitable, the room was always clean, with all facilities you need. There is enough parking space for everyone, location is excellent and very close to the city center. Perfect spot for island exploring. Quet place and very pleasant stay.
