I stayed for two night at Hotel Neos Olympos in Athen. I didn't' get the room which I booked. And the room which I got, it is smelt a lot of cigarette and I shared the toilet and shower with other people. There is one shawer and two toilets for few people. But the shawer also not work well.

The Hotel located a bit far from the center but it is still possible to walk from the hotel to the center. It will take about 22 min to walk.

The Wi-Fi was excruciatingly slow, and kept dropping out. Two of the three reception staff were rather gruff and surly. (The other one was lovely.)

The building itself dates from 1938 and has a lot of charming period character.

Very noisy because it is next to a highway. Only one outlet worked out of 4 outlets. Bathroom smelt like a sewer but the smell faded eventually.

Dated furniture. The bathroom absolutely needs to be modernized. When you take a shower, the water flows everywhere. Reduced space to move around the room.

Good position, close to railway station and metro stop. The surroundings may not look too much reassuring, but only late at night. Cleaning level sufficient. Towels have been changed every day. Bed quite comfortable.

The infrastructure is very old and shabby. The locations of electricity plug is extremely unconvenient.

The location is absolutely perfect, very close to 2 metro stations, including the central rail station, where many tours are gathered.

You need to use stair to go to your room. No water for drink provided. Toilet can be so wet after use.

The location is good. It’s near train station, so you can go anywhere. Recommend for traveller who need affordable accommodation.

The room lacked a certain allure. However this was reasonable given its affordability. The location around the hotel was good however we felt a touch 'on guard' as they say.

Good value for money, staff were friendly. A/C worked real good.

Some issue with wifi. Continuously getting disconnected. Both for laptop and phone. Most of the time had to use my cellphone network.

The place was advertised, clean and beautiful as shown in pictures. Central location. Host were good. Near and clean room/bathroom.

Location was not the right choice for me. Too many delinquency, even tho it has nothing to do with the hotel itself. I was just not ready for the Athens realities, I guess

It's important to know that we came across two types of people working at reception, unfortunately the one who greeted us was very nasty (evening duty), the other who checked us out was rather nice. It's also important to note that we stayed in a room full of bedbugs. A shared bathroom is not a good idea here either. We recommend taking a look at the comments before booking.

Not exactly in the center, but it’s located near a metro station so it’s easy to go. They don’t have a restaurant or at least a café at the hotel.

The hotel is very old and kinda falling apart. We didn’t really mind it - we’re traveling on a budget and it was pretty clean and again, great value for the money. But here are the main issues that you should be aware of: -The area is kinda sketchy -No elevator! -The free wifi was practically non-existent and you’re required to allow personal data collection to sign in. -They smoke in the building… -There are pictures of a breakfast buffet on the website but the hotel doesn’t offer any (but you won’t need it! There truly are wonderful food options all around)

The staff was nice and friendly and the stay was so cheap! That was really the main factor in our stay here. Other pluses - it’s super close to the metro and has plenty of great restaurants in the area. A lot of the comments mention noise from the street but we actually had a very quiet stay and no issues on that front. The AC in the room was also great. Very bare bones hotel but still good value for the money.

The shower was only a hose and shower head which you could wash yourself with. It was ok for me but would have enjoyed a proper shower. The road and rail noise was horrendous.

The location was great, close to a Metro station. The price was excellent for the location.
