The spa centre is absolutley amazing. Plenty of ways to reingovorate yourself. You really can fell like that YOU are the owner of the nexdoor castel by giving a yourself proper hedonistic experience. Our compliments to Darija and Željko from spa centre that have been very professional and heplful. The location is ideal. It is very comfy. Great value for money.

The rooms had separate beds instead of double bed, and they were very light, making them easily separated and moved around the room. Very uncomfortable. The service in the restaurant did not make an effort to prepare the cheese and cream we requested, and the desserts were very poor.

The spa is beautiful and has three saunas. Very good jacuzzi and panoramic sauna.

When we tried to book directly there was explanation that it's not possible for less than 2 days, than we went to booking.com amd it was possible. When we came we were informed that there is no free space for us for swimming pool and that it's not possible to pay panssion dinner, becaise it was 20:30 p.m. Simply hotel is death after 21:30 and nobody works

Beyond the castle, there's nothing around the hotel. No shops, no restaurants, no coffee shops. The location is nice, but there's no lake anymore, which was surprising and wasn't communicated. Only the pool is allowed to be used with kids, the wellness area is prohibited under 18, which was also not communicated.

The breakfast was great although they strictly close at 10. The room was large and comfortable, and the hotel's lounge area was impressive. The staff was very kind and communicated in English perfectly. The hotel offered a half-board option or a la carte dinner.

The dinner - salmon was not salmon, it was some frozen random cheap fish for a really high price.

Breakfast was great. Unfortunately the room smelled from smoke. I switched rooms with my parents as I was traveling with a small child. It was too late to complain at the desk since my son was moody and wanted to sleep (parents will understand I had no choice). The receptionist was nice in the morning, but in the end I hope they will reclean the room, because the smoke was terrible - the other room was great.

TV channels very limited. No coffee and tea facilities in the room. Restaurant a l a carte very limited choice and way overpriced. Only solution was the buffer restaurant which was crowded, loud, dinner horrible buffet, cheap truckers food. Horrible breakfast. Machine coffee undrinkable. Do not eat there

The swimming pool is very small and was crowded.

The hotel is near the Castell Trakoscan. The Castell is beautiful, very preserve and maintained. The hotel lobby is very cozy, the food is good and the stuff super helpful and kind.

Dirty carpet in the room, only two glasses for drinking in the room even we were 3, there were special meeting of disabled war veterans during our stay, many of them on wheelchairs . Only one lady from personal was helpful during the self service breakfast. when I asked another one to help one man on wheelchair who was alone there, she denied saying he has everything he needed which was not true, he had to wait for somebody else who brought him coffee and helped with food which was unreachable from the wheelchair. That does not create a friendly atmosphere ...

I believe more variety on the A La Carte menu should be added as the menu remained the same for over 1 year. The attention of staff should be on a higher level and music on the terrace ( when it's not a Cocktail event ) should be definitely not house music boozing your ears while you eat your Sunday dinner. p.s. I hope you have fixed the AX in room 238

As always the small getaway from the town in picturesque Trakoscan went ok. The hotel was finely full and it was nice to see the touristic season at the Hotel Trakoscan. The view from the room is priceless and the size of the rooms are fantastic.

Breakfast was just OK, but nothing to brag about. Some food was cold and bland, also lacking variety. For this many stars I would've expected a minibar with at least some water inside, but just got an empty fridge.

Bed was super comfortable and overall clean rooms. Staff was also extremely friendly and helpful!

Diner in the restaurant was so-so.

The hotel is near the border of Slovenia and Croatia. Good for stopover. The room was good and clean. From the terrace of the restaurant there is a view on the Trakoscan Castle. Good breakfast.

Menu in the restaurant should be more diverse. We ate chicken almost everyday and one dinner was served with a raw meat so we had to ask kitchen stuff for meat to be roasted more. Pool in wellness area should be a bit cleaner.

We like view from the room the most, but food and menu wasn’t good at all. Stuff working in the hotel is very kind and helpful. The room was clean and mattresses very comfy.

Generally what a disappointment!!! No idea how this hotel can claim to have four stars and have such good rating at the booking.com. Our room did not have a working air conditioning so it was really hot there, the kids extra beds were extremely uncomfortable and in very bed shape, for some reasons they did not have even a normal blankent, just a sheet to cover themselves. Because of the non functional air conditioning, we had to have the window open all the night so eventually in spite of the hot wheather, the kids were quite cold at night just under the sheet. There was no shower in the bathromm, only bath and it had black mould. The fridge seemed not to be working as well, but we did not use it so we did not mind. The cherry on top was when I was summoned at 10:30 p.m. from my bed to the reception because one of the waitresess at the dinner did some mistake at our dinner bill that needed to be corrected.

We booked this hotel because of wellness, pool, whirpool and sauna. We arrived on Sunday around 8pm, wellness was availeble till 9pm, whirpool not working from last year. Next day it was possible to go to wellness from 3PM and we had to leave till 11am. So we didn't enjoyed wellness. For breakfast cheapest available juice in hotel for 100EUR, orange juice looked like brown old tea and taste was disgusting. Also carpets need renovation.
