Victor was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was generous with plenty of variety, and the view from the breakfast room was lovely. We couldn't get over the location--right below the Fisherman's Bastion and only a short walk to the Metro.

The room was a bit dusty, probably because of the blankets we used. We are not used to a shower curtain anymore. For a cup of tea we used the kettle of the breakfast room, a kettle and some teacups in our own room would have been nice.

In a 5 minute walk (and a few stairs) you are at the Fishermans Bastion with a marvelous view over Budapest. In 10 minutes you are at the Donau and the (excellent) Metro system. The breakfast was very good, suited the small character of the location. The beds were good, warm and comfy. The owner Viktor was really friendly and helpful.

Nothing to add here, we are very pleased with our stay and the hospitality of Viktor.

It was very easy to navigate from the airport, the host sent me ahead instructions on how to get to Budavar. When we walked out of the near metro station we saw the marvelous Parlament illuminated in the evening. When we entered the building it smelled fresh, the room was very comfortable and neat. I really appreciate the corkscrew in the room, a small but important detail for people like me, who enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Breakfast was very good, offering multiple choices including fruits, yogurt, bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, muesli etc. There is a supermarket and great coffee place nearby. The hotel is a few steps away from one of the main must-visit places, yet the street is very quiet.

Not very fancy, but nevertheless clean and minimal. Not a lot of objections.

Firstly the location was great, 2 minutes away from the fishermen's bastion, and our room had a wonderful view of the Budapest's Parlament. Secondly the staff was very nice and welcoming, the front desk guy had a warm smile and a helpful air surrounding him. Thirdly, the room was cleaned every day. It had all the necessary commodities. And last but not least, not far away from the metro line and tram & bus station.

Cozy apartment with a convenient location, beautiful views from the balcony of the shared kitchen, delicious and hearty breakfasts. A double duvet for the double bed, rather than 2 singles, would have been a bit more comfortable but other than this, everything is great!

Victor was a great host- attentive and kind. I had put in a request (if possible) for a room with a view which couldn't be accommodated on the first night, but went out of his way to allow us to upgrade the next day! The upgraded room was beautiful- huge like the photos with table and chairs, and a huge balcony overlooking the Fisherman's Bastion. Breakfast was included which was a small continental breakfast which was a bonus. The location was great, next to some of the main attractions. The Chain Bridge was under construction which made the walk into town, across the river much longer but this is only temporary.

X the towels could have been more soft, if you have a sensitive skin that might matter.

I could hear the people next door talking, so if you have light sleep, it can be a problem. No water from the faucet in the WC next to the dining room. It would be nice to have soap in the WC.

Location is unbeatable on the Buda side. I have Fisherman's bastion right at my doorstep, which I can visit any time of the day and beat the tourist groups. I can even see the towers from the window of my room (room 6), which is amazing. 7 mins walk to the nearest metro hub, 1-2 metro stops to most attractions on Pest side. The room is spacious and bigger than in the picture, and clean. Bed is soft and the heating works well. Shared bathroom but we didn't have to wait. Viktor is a great host and he made sure we had a pleasant stay, giving suggestions what to do and help us book airport taxi. Breakfast has very good options, from cold cuts to müsli, hard-boiled eggs and fruits. We felt good to start the day with the breakfast.

The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. The host, Viktor, is lovely and helpful. Breakfast was greatly appreciated and the view from the breakfast room is really nice. The hotel is located near a metro station and just above the castle which makes walks and visits very convenient.
