Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe pool isn't really clean and we'll look after which is a shame because the place is beautiful. Room could use a fan . I understand it's in Mundunk therefore less hot than the rest of Bali but a bit of air wouldn't hurt .
Very lovely spot

AustraliaThe noise around was a bit loud, chickens, road, temple (was a ceremony), and the bloody gecko in our room was super loud but it's not the property fault. The swimming pool was a bit dirty. It was hard to set the shower temperature with the main shower but was ok with the bathtub one. Outside facilities could be more clean.
Staff is very nice and lovely! They were really helpful when we were sick. Having a rice terrace as a garden is amazing! We enjoyed our stay here, good room, good bathroom, good food.

NetherlandsWifi wasn’t working from the room, we had to go to the hotel’s restaurant to access wifi. The hotel is quite isolated, not much around if you go around by foot.
Very friendly and available staff. There’s a free shuttle service to take you to do the waterfalls trek. Good food. Nice pool setting in the garden.

NetherlandsNothing!
The cottages are situated in a garden in a beautiful landscape, right next to rice fields. Our room had everything we needed and breakfast was good. This location has amazing staff. When we found out we forgot something, they were willing to drive across Bali to deliver the item back to us (for a fee). Thanks again!

Ukrainethere was an ant in umbrellas and deck chairs. it is not usable. a little disappointed at this point need to do something with the menu in the restaurant. There is nothing there. It makes no sense to go to breakfast either. we traveled around Munduk and around a much worse place to stay but the food is fine . A bad restaurant spoils the overall impression of the place. Hotel staff - well done, very friendly! Silence around, magnificent view, did not want to leave. Thank you

United StatesThe restaurant is adequate for dinner, but somewhat limited in choices. The food itself was better and priced better than the few other local ones. I was there in the slow, rainy season, which may affect their number of choices.
The staff were wonderful and over a week’s time felt like family. I loved the location and the design of the property. The fish ponds and beautiful, lush foliage and flowers were special. Also the view of the rice field next door from the porch of my bungalow was calming and also beautiful. I am a swimmer and used the pool daily although it is cold as would be expected in the cooler mountain region. I travel with a lightweight, wetsuit jacket and used it to make longer swims possible, although in a short pool. It is definitely a plus that they offer free services of a driver to the nearby village for food shopping and also to get to the waterfall trek starting and end points. Generous, I think.

United KingdomFlying cockroaches came into room few times, property DID spray regularly but it’s so remote location by rice fields, not much you can do except keep food out of bedroom (or in fridge). Lots of mosquito I think because of ponds I think could improve by providing mosquito spray in the room and also providing mosquito coil. The transport was very expensive compared to normal Bali price. Eg from near Munduk to botanical gardens 650k!!!
Highly relaxing experience with beautiful and (what felt like) private garden in front of each bungalow. Your view from outside all the bungalows is the large garden, beyond that the pool, rice fields and hills….. just amazing. You felt very serene in this country spot. Staff went extra mile to help. Geko in roof sang loud, bats, glow flies. Breakfast was served as room service. Free cot provided which was sooooo helpful. Most staff had good English. TV with stick provided to watch Netflix/Prime on your own account on good size screen which was such a treat (we have been travelling for a while!) Free and wonderful 3 Hr hike at waterfalls with free shuttle from hotel.
