Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkThe table on the balcony tilts a lot, when we put something down to stabilize it, then it was removed the next day by room cleaning. There was more noise than we remember from last time and it was not ideal with our daughter. But that's not the fault of the place, as they are centrally located and right next to the Monkey Forest.
Friendly and helpful staff. Their sweet treatment of Ella our daughter. The central location.

AustraliaVery close to the main road and to the Monkeys Forest in fact you have to be careful because monkeys often are on your balcony. Clean and spacious rooms.

United Kingdommosquito net on the bed could have been cleaner
The room was spacious, modern, and boasted an incredible forest view, which was spotless overall. Having tables in the room was handy for work. Breakfast offered three choices, and the restaurant was really cozy. Plus, the hotel had a good location, close to the main street, stores, and the monkey forest, where we occasionally had some surprise monkey visits on our balcony, which was cool when the window was shut, but a bit nerve-wracking when we wanted to step outside (just speaking from my own experience).

MalaysiaThe option for breakfast is very limited and it has to be flexible for customers following vegeterian diet. They had American, Continental and Indonesian. However in all 3, they have limited food portions and they should include Milk+Cornflakes in menu to replace Eggs. They should also include fruits in their indonesian breakfast as it only had Tea\Coffee+Juice+Rice\Noodles. This is not enough as breakfast should have more variety for travellers. The fittings of bathroom in both rooms was poor and it was rusty. The quality of shelves made from wood was not up to the marl and needs a lot of maintainance. The property should focus on shower panels, door lock and bathroom fittings in Room 104 and 201. They need a complete maintanance.
The location is good.

Switzerland. - As others have noticed the water is sometimes cold. Although true, this has rarely happened to us and we have noticed a solution that always works: 1. Turn on the shower water (cold) 2. Turn on the water in the sink 3. Leave both for a minute, then turn everything off 5. Wait 2 minutes, then open the shower, now it's hot :)
. - Room is big and comfortable - Room is cleaned every day - Wi-Fi works great - Staff is very friendly - Walking distance to everything you need (restaurants, Coco, shops, ...) - Easily accessible by Grab and Gojek drivers - Nice place to base yourself for tours in the northern, eastern and western regions - Breakfast is good but no buffet so after a while it gets a bit boring

United KingdomThe building was seriously showing its age and was clearly in need of a refurbishment. The bar outside could be quite noisy in the evening.
Cheap and cheerful. If you're looking for a comfy bed in a basic room, this place is fine. If you're looking for a lovely and memorable Bali experience, this is probably not it.

SlovakiaJust a few little details, sometimes you can hear the sounds from outdoor in the room quite much.
It is next to the Monkey forest and I love animals so I love to see the monkeys on my breakfast and all the time around they are jumping and looking for food, very sweet creatures. The staff is very nice in here I love them. The bed is super comfortable, and everything you can also find in walking distance like food, drinks.. The breakfast is not a big portion but you can choose from 3 varieties (all come with the orange juice and coffee or a tea). I felt very peaceful here once I was in my room

AustraliaThe wifi is not the best.
Great stay, really friendly staff who were very obliging and helpful when we wanted to extend our stay, room was always cleaned and kept really well and gave us new bottles of water each day. Would definitely stay here again. Beds were extremely comfy. Even though it's close to the centre of Ubud (right next to the monkey Forest) it was still a quiet and relaxing stay. Watch out for the local monkeys who stole our milk!

United KingdomNice big room and big comfy bed. Big bathroom. The room needed a lot of TLC though. Fridge didn’t work but only one socket for three plugs so you couldn’t have had the tv and fridge going at the same time anyway. I had the bottom far room so could hear the staff really loudly at times. Was a very dark room and as long as staff are quiet then you can sleep well. I’d give the breakfast a miss and go elsewhere also. Dinner there was fine though. Overall ok but not sure I’d go back. Might have just had bad luck with my room though and other rooms especially on first floor might be better.

SwedenBreakfast options were a bit limited. The pool was more for display, rather than something to take a dip in. Only a small bottle of drinking water (300 ml) per person was provided.
