Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaFurniture: The room furnishing, i.e. cabinets, bedside/coffee/dresser tables, and chairs though seemed well maintained and still functional are all dated already and could need upgrading. Although this is just a minor dislike. Aircon: The aircon filter in our room may be due for cleaning as there seemed to be a little foul odour coming out of it already. Amenities: There are no microwave, cutlery, and extra plates in the room for those wanting to just eat/dine inside. Although I would assume that any of those can be requested from reception (maybe except for the microwave). In saying that, requesting for something from reception could be an inconvenient exercise because there are no phones in all their rooms except at reception. So we had to walk down to reception everytime we were requesting for something. And, literally a walk downstairs because the hotel has no lift. Although we didn't mind it and just treated it as a calorie-burning minor exercise. Hotel entertainment/offers/services: Apart from the pool and room TV, there are no other entertainment/offers that are usually found in hotels of same level i.e. bar, in-house restaurant/cafe, spa, etc. There is in-house breakfast although it's ala carte and not buffet.
Location: The hotel was perfectly placed in Seminyak. It is at the back end of a little street with no through road and so it is sheltered from road traffic/pub/street noises. Nevertheless, the beaches, markets, stalls, restaurants, bars/pubs, etc. are all within short walking distances from the hotel. Room: The twin/double room was massive for this room type! Because of the big room size it's pleasantly very quiet and we could barely hear the other guests in other rooms. Bed: The bed could pass as a King size bed and was quite comfortable to lie on. The pillows were also good with just the right firmness/softness. So sleeping was never a problem. Aircon: The aircon was working quite well and was fairly cooling the room at our chosen temperature despite the room size and the usual tropical weather outside. Toilet and shower room: Again this room was massive! It even had double shower heads -one on the top of bathtub and the other the usual stand on shower. The hot/warm water was also readily available when set. Veranda/Terrace: This could offer a great place to relax and enjoy the tropical weather of Bali. (We didn't use it as we were always out and about!). Interestingly a gentle wind was constantly blowing through and makes for a pleasant stay outside. (Good for quickly drying wet clothes also!) Pool: The pool was well maintained and the water had just the right temperature and was perfect for swimming/soaking for long hours. Pool towel was also available by request. Reception: The staff were all very friendly, respectful, and very accommodating to our needs. They were very easy to talk to and felt more like talking to a friend rather than to the usual receptionist. Conclusion: Overall, the hotel is very basic in comparison to other hotels of same level. Although, it's room pricing is cheaper than others and thus probably justifies the limited amenities/service/offers, or vice versa.

PortugalGreat stay! Kusuma is a lovely resort, with very friendly people, quite well located in Seminyak (many restaurants and bars around), and with such a nice swimming pool open all over the day. The room is very large, comfortable, with Netflix, the beds have good mattresses and pillows, and they provide bottles of water every day which is super nice.

New ZealandOne of the reason why Bali is a highly desirable place to visit is the friendliness of its people. Unfortunately the lady at reception comes across as hostile. I am sure she is not; after a few days she mellows. A shame there are no smiles until then. Another guest I shared the pool with, also commented on this. I need to say that she was very helpful and ameniable as I was leaving, a week later.
My room was not overlooking the pool, but still there was a frangipani tree growing in front of my window. It was beautiful. The pool was very clean and warm. Plenty of power points in the room. This was the second year I stayed at this hotel and I would be happy to come back to Kasuma again next year.

AustraliaBathroom was a bit meh but no real issues regardless. Pillows were a bit too big/fat for our personal preference. But that’s nitpicking. Would definitely stay again.
Huge family room, gr8 location. Beds comfy. Pool was big and plenty of sunbeds. Staff were lovely. Easy checkin late at night. Would recommend for a family of 4.

AustraliaNothing to dislike
If you are wanting a relaxing and tranquil stay in the craziness of Seminyak, this is it! Relax by the pool when it's too hot and relax in your huge room when you're tired from your day excursions. They sell beer and water here too so you don't have to go far, and theres snacks at the circle K on the corner. Check out Warung Murah just up the street or hire a decent surf board from Made Kolu and have dinner at their warung Anggun with your toes in the sand. Best 2 weeks of relaxation, loved this place. 👌🏼

TurkeyThere were only bath towels, no hand towels in the bathroom. Breakfast is very limited.
The staff were amazing and kind. Location is very good, close to Seminyak Beach and the main street. There are many markets nearby, you can walk to Seminyak beach for the restaurants. There are many spa nearby. Pool and sunbeds are quite good. Area and the garden is very quite, so you can move away from the rumble and enjoy time in the pool. Breakfast was delicious.
