Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAn extra fan in the room would have been perfect next to the bed for a more comfortable sleep. The room has high ceilings so the air con can’t cope with such a big room. Don’t let it put you off.
This place is great. Amazing. So good. Firstly, the room is huge. You really get enough space to literally do the bleep test (which we did). The bed is big and comfortable. There is a desk. Wardrobe and small dressing table AND water dispenser for hot and cold. The staff are lovely. So kind. The swimming pool is a good size. The outdoor bathroom is so cool! Location wise, it’s really good. 5min walk to restaurants. 10mins to the beach. Breakfast is perfect size. Enjoy it! Stay here!

New ZealandThe outdoor bathroom sounds great in theory but Uluwatu has a lot of bugs so it was not nice having to go outside and shower with bugs all around (my opinion) my partner didn’t have a problem with it. The breakfast is quite small it would be better value to not include the breakfast option and to buy your own down the road, there are lots of great cafes with very reasonable priced breakfast options. We would stay here again.
Great size room Awesome location, you are right in town and a short bike away from all other beaches in Uluwatu The breakfast area is very relaxing surrounded by nature We loved the pool, it was the perfect temperature and always clean The staff and quiet but always helpful and very kind The accommodation was always very peaceful even though we were right in town

AustraliaThe outdoor shower, whilst picturesque was amass with mosquitoes and bugs. More than we have experiences before. The extra greenery whilst pretty, meant that we avoided using it at all costs. Also it did leak during the big rain onto the bed. But it was very isolated and I just slept around it. It dried very quickly the next day.
The staff were lovely, the location is beautiful and peaceful and so close to great cafes and beaches. The breakfast was simply delicious. Definitely try the banana pancakes and pineapple juice!

SloveniaAlthough the type of rooms (high wooden ceilings, a little bit outdated hotel) probably does not allow for them to be absolutely clean and without creepy-crawly, cleanliness could be better. It's not that it's dirty (far from it), but I did feel a bit uncomfortable sleeping under nets with holes in them and some spiders found on the bed, webs around windows and closets. The outside bathroom is fine (I read some comments that say otrherwise and disagree - our two bathrooms were great and clen - as much as an outside bathroom can be, of course).
The pool is simply the best pool we have ever been to. Clean, surrounded by greenery, an incredible natural and tropical feeling. It upgrades the whole hotel. Breakfast was very good, especially the banana - chocolate pancakes. Staff was very kind and helpful and arranged motorcycles and negotiated a better price with a driver to the airport. Cute lush garden and surroundings.

AustraliaThe villa does not have a refrigerator. The outdoor toilet and shower are not ideal in cool or rainy weather.
Lullaby Bungalows are well located close to shops and restaurants and walking distance to Padang Padang beach. The grounds are set back from the main street, so offer peace and quiet. The gardens are well maintained, and there is a lovely pool and gazebo. The villas are basic but functional with an outdoor bathroom. Breakfast is included daily and there is free wifi throughout. The staff at Lullaby Bungalows are friendly and attentive.

South AfricaMake sure to use bug spray as there are a few mozzies around but overall cannot fault anything on the property itself. There is a mozzie net over the bed so no issues.

United KingdomIt was dark , the walls were full of cobwebs , musty smell on bed sheets , the mosquito net was dusty , full of dead flys with lots of holes in it .there were loads of caterpillars crawling allover the floor , the water but which served hot and cold water was rotten, dirty finger marks everywhere, I can't vouch for other bungalows but number 4 was disgusting, we've travelled all over Asia stayed in over 40 hotels b&bs , this is by far the worst and the most expensive for value for money ever , the breakfast was edible but only because i like porridge...wipe your feet on the way out ... you've been warned.
These bungalows COULD be really nice with a bit of care , paint the walls and alot of cleaning, the pool was nice although the jacuzzi wasn't working and the water was very warm .

PortugalThe place seems to be still under construction in some areas, but it seems its almost there. There's a construction also next door, so sometimes it can be noisy...not too much but still it can be bothering sometimes if you just want to relax in the hotel (we were there mostly just to sleep) I would say compared to the rest of places in the area is a bit pricey for what you actually get.
Super nice staff and amazing breakfast! Walking distance from padang padang beach and several coffee, restaurant and bars in the area. A very touristic zone, as pretty much all of Bali...

AustraliaHard to find. The driveway has a small round sign just on the left side of the Habitat buildings.
Balinese bungalows in the middle of the street of restaurants and shops but set back from the noise of the street. Outdoor shower is wonderful and the spacious rooms are just what you need for a unique getaway. I had the place to myself and it felt like a private villa with breakfast made to order each day by lovely friendly staff.
