We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Hungarywhen we visited the morning breakfast restaurant, most of the fodd was already gone. Later they provided new supply, but we were already on our way (to the airport). I think the food should be freely available during the whole breakfast period. We also was for a massage. Noting the opening hours of the wellness section (from 10am) we asked at the reception if it was possible to have massag earlier (we asked at about 8am) and was told to come back by 9am, when they told it was not possible. A bit befor 10 am we tried again for a half an hour massage (which was on their price/offer list) - as we had no more time - but were told that they only had hour long massages. Most of the staff did not speak English.
It is a good hotel in the downtown area with reasonable buffet breakfast. Nice room, fancy bathroom,

FranceCheck-in took a very long time because there was only one employee when I arrived around 7pm and a queue of customers. At the reception, the employee also told me that there were only smoking rooms left and when I refused categorically, he/she immediately gave me a non-smoking room... There were a few issues in the room which were fixed later by the staff: the safe was not reset so couldn't be used, the bed lights were not working, and my food order never reached my room (I had it at the restaurant eventually). Eventually, these little things do not change my good overall impression but they could be easily improved.
First of all, my overall impression is pretty good and I will probably come back. The location is very central, the staff was really nice and polite, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice (Indonesian, continental, etc.). Anecdotally, there were four different jamus (a traditional Indonesian drink that you should try). There was no plastic bottle in the bedroom but a refillable glass bottle and a water dispenser at every floor. Much better for the thirsty ones and greener.

ItalyI have booked a room from 5 to 12 June 2023 in Novotel Makassar on booking.com. On the credit card, they charged me 265.08 euros for the stay, and then, two days later, they stole 345.60 euros. We have repeatedly contacted the Novotel in Makassar, which keeps on ignoring us. We have also repeatedly written to the Customer Service and the Help Centre in booking.com, sending the requested documents, and we also were completely ignored. DO NOT GO IN THIS HOTEL, THEY STEAL MONEY FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD AND THEN IGNORE YOU!!!

AustraliaRoom service and operator calls were regularly confusing and sometimes not followed up, even when explained very carefully. Gym equipment (particularly treadmill) definitely needs updating. Also disappointing to still receive plastic bottles of water - surely other options can be figured out in order to avoid such serious waste.
Great value, good location and well-presented rooms. Staff are generally great.
