Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe place was my home for a week. The location is very central and you would have access to the best restaurants while still being secluded in a quiet street, where you would feel at peace.

AustraliaThe design of the hotel and rooms was quite open, which was nice, however this did mean that there were often ants and geckos in the room. Rooms weren’t vacuumed during cleaning so after a few days the floors got quite dirty.
Property was in beautiful location and very close to a lot of restaurants out on the Main Street. Front desk staff were very lovely, always welcoming you back and very helpful. Breakfast was good but quite small

IrelandAbsolutely beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were beyond helpful! The hotel is an excellent location on the main road in ubud but the large grounds of the hotel mean you don’t hear the hussle and bussle from the road! I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! The staff alone make the experience so special! Also the pictures do not do it justice!!

SwedenA little out of the way from Ubud centre but that can be a positive away from the hectic traffic and thongs of tourists.
Beautiful oasis of calm and tranquility. Stunning ground, friendly staff and gorgeous rooms where Balinese architecture is beautiful and pervades throughout the rooms. The two pools are set in gorgeous surroundings. Would highly recommend it.

BelgiumThe breakfast is nice but nothing special and one day when we haven’t had it included we discovered amazing and greater value places just outside the resort (with cool granola bowls, amazing coffee - my daughter had a yummy matcha latte and yummy fruit juices) so I wouldn’t take the breakfast at the hotel if you can have it not included.
It’s a beautiful resort with lovely rooms, very comfortable beds, awesome views from the balconies, very quiet (not a given in Bali with all the crazy traffic and the thousands scooters), cool pools and lively staff (Puspita was very helpful and attentive and very nice staff that welcomed us at 2am when we arrived!)

United StatesThe fruit was a bit sour. It was probably because it was very hot and the fruit is not on ice to keep it cold.
The breakfast was okay. It was appreciated that it was included in the hotel.

FranceI had an amazing time at the Artini and a wonderfull experience with the staff. I came in rush, last minute after having trouble at an homestay, they arrange everything for me so kindly. The place is so peaceful, you hear running water from a small river, birds chirping in the middle of coconut trees and rice fields. I couldn’t have made a better choice. The breakfast is delicious, choice between western and Indo food. The room is spacious, very clean, view stunning and bedding really comfortable..and I am picky. I will definitely pick this place when I will come back. Thank you to all the Artini Dijiwa Staff

AustraliaAt the pool people were regularly smoking and facetiming without headphones. It was a bit of a shame because the pool is in such a beautiful and peaceful setting.
The peaceful surrounds are so relaxing. A few nights at this place lets you completely unwind.

AustraliaIts a large resort and for those that have mobility issues it might be difficult to walk up and down the many stairs to the pool area and some of the rooms.
The hotel has an authentic Balinese feel nestled amongst the rice fields for peace and quiet yet only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of town. Good location and friendly staff.

KazakhstanNothing, everything was perfect.
I stayed 3 days at this hotel but I would have loved to stay 3 years! The hotel is located in a very serene location but it’s also minutes away from the shopping streets. There are many cafes nearby and a couple of big supermarkets. The scenery is gorgeous, two emerald pools surrounded by rice fields and tall palm trees. My room was big, in a lovely Balinese style. The bed was huge and comfy. All in all, I left Artini Dijiwa completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Every single staff member that I met was amazing, making my stay extra memorable. Special thanks to Arsana for going out of his way to help me with any questions that I had. Also thanks to Nyoman (I’m sorry I know I’m misspelling the name!) for being so attentive and welcoming.

ItalyI suggest to improve the breakfast. Both its variety and quality of the ingredient do not match the (much higher) level of the property itself.
Great time in this outstanding natural sanctuary! The property is beautiful, embedded in nature, with rice fields on the back and a great garden in the front. Common areas are amazing, with 2 outdoor pools surrounded by palms and all sort of plants and flowers. Staff is impeccable, very attentive and always available to provide you with support and useful tips. Breakfast is served at a cafeteria 5 mins walking. Location is perfect, at walking distance from nice restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed the own spa. We also appreciated a lot the small extra attentions, such as the welcome drink + special discounts for the spa :) Loved enjoying Ubud staying at this beautiful oasis.

HungaryThe cleaness can be improved a lot. The towels are really worn out, kind of grey. Celanig need to be asked every day and the quality was not the best. If you got bad neighbours the room can become super loud as you can hear everything from the balcony.
The area is amazing, there are two big pools, very relaxing. Also the location is ok, quiet, but still a lot of restaurants around, but this is not the central area of Ubud. Monkey forest is about 10-15 min walk. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they know each guest by their names. Their English is really good. Breakfast is OK, a bit basic but you can find everything.
