We arrived in the middle of a humid and stormy February- so the living areas struggled with just fans & mosquitoes were very friendly.

We were allowed to move our check in two hours earlier than planned, so grateful for that. Pool & setting was inviting, and the beds were the most comfortable experienced this trip. The master bedroom & ensuite score high. Quiet spot- Balinese getaway.

On one occasion it was impossible to reach any of the three people named for emergency contact. This is not only dangerous given any possible situation it tarnishes the actual stay.

I couldn’t get use to the rusty and salty waters from the taps and showers. But they did provide bottles of filtered water and glasses for brushing our teeth. And ample drinking water. Also a place to wash clothes and hang them out to dry would have been a bonus.

The property is a stunning getaway and so much thought into the interior design and the very fine details in the furnishings to make a very unforgettable unique experience. The staff were available and helpful. It felt safe.

Nothing!! Payment was difficult and ending up costing international fees and other extra fees because we were no allowed to complete payment with Booking.com

No breakfast provided but close to shops by scooter. There was MiniMart in walking distance.

The bathroom was very hot with no way to keep it cool. The fans in the living area were way too noisy and not very effective. It needs one big fan in the centre where the giant chandelier is. The water coming out of the shower smelt quite bad, so after the first shower we had we didn't use it again.

The location was great and it was styled beautifully.

We had an amazing week long stay at the Island Houses. We stayed in the Round House and it was absolute perfection. A super spacious and well equipped kitchen and living area. The bedrooms were the perfect size for our family of 4. The bathroom was stunning with two toilets, a double shower and amazing bath tub. The pool was lovely and the outdoor covered area near the pool was the perfect spot to relax while the kids were having a swim. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The villa was secure and the complex had a security officer as well. The location was great and just a short walk to the beach for sunset.

One of the bedrooms of the garden villa is separate to the main house which I didn’t realize. My 6yr was too hesitant to sleep out there with her brother so my husband and I had to share beds with the kids. 1 adult and 1 child per bedroom. Would be perfect for slightly older kids, my 8yr old was completely fine out there. We found taxi’s generally don’t know where The Island Houses location is which was hard. Trying to negotiate a fair taxi price while the taxi can’t figure out where to go was tricky and I had to get out of a couple of taxi’s. BUT in the end I told the taxi drivers to go to the flea market and I would direct them from there (only 500m or so from the flea market). This worked perfectly every time once I figured this out.

We loved our stay at the Island Houses Seminyak! The garden villa was full of eclectic, mismatched furniture which just worked so well together! The inside/outside shower was so fab. We loved having a full kitchen, lounge and two bedrooms. The pool and outside area was big and clean. We got takeaway every morning from the cafe up the road called Local coffee, sometimes I walked up there 3 times a day! Epic coffee and amazing smoothies. Location is fantastic, really close to the beach, flea market and 15min walk to the main restaurant strip of Seminyak. We will be back Island Houses!

no hot water in my shower while there however not really an issue as it was always warm enough for a cool shower

It was hot when we visited Bali, and while the bedrooms are air-conditioned really well, the main living area has no AC, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sit in the living area. The windows/doors don't have flyscreens, so we preferred not to leave them open to avoid mosquito problems. There was fans in the living room however. It would be great if airconditioning was installed in the living room!

Our stay at the Island Houses (White Villa) was incredible. The staff were very friendly and always available if we needed and so kind to us and our daughter It is in a very quiet location but so close to all the hustle and bustle of Seminyak - such a great location. It felt very private at the end of a long driveway, and in the evenings there is security at the gate - a lovely gentleman to keep an eye on things. The villa is so beautiful and uniquely furnished, we loved it. So handy to be able to WhatsApp with Cafe Bali and have so many yummy dishes delivered to our villa. Also super handy to order anything from Gojek. There is also really good coffee places that only take a few mins to walk to and a couple of 24hr minimarts as well. We had our laundry picked up and delivered back to us (same day!) by Lucky Laundry. So cheap as well.

The location could not have been more perfect situated in a beautiful long sone tiled lane with the other 5 Island houses. The most divine coffee and food (fave was the brioche French toast) a one min stroll away you didn't have to go near the Main Street....place was just called coffee. Desa house was absolutely beautiful exactly as the images show.

Exquisite place. We absolutely loved our visit. Best place we have stayed in Bali and this is our 14th holiday in Bali.

One cannot pay with debit or credit card. We had to use an app called Wise and it cost us half a day of our time to figure out how to wire the money etc. So if you have the time, it is not an issue but for busy people I would recommend to book something more convenient where one can simply use a card or pay in cash on arrival.

Staff were very accomodating although just a heads up they let themselves in without warning at times. We had them there for a couple of hours one day doing laundry in the back part of the property. So if you’re into nudie swims maybe let them know not to disturb. Also you hear a lot of scooters, roosters and dogs all hours of the night, I put white noise on my phone to drown out the sound. 2 out of the 3 showers did not have hot water working.

We stayed in the Africa House, probably the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. So aesthetically pleasing! Whoever designed this place deserves a pat of the back. Seriously so cool. Its even bigger than what it shows in the photos. the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The aircon is not working properly, a lot mosquitoes especially during the day and the lighting in the bedroom is too dark.

Fancy design and great interior. All staff are good and helpful during our stay. The kitchen has everything that we need.
