Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe chair, fridge and corners of the room were very worn and looked unclean. I think it was that they’d be used so often stains had set in. There was no high shower head so I had to crouch to shower.
The bed was large and the view was nice. The pool area was lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly.

AustraliaNo complaints about the hotel but we did have the best room. The hotel restaurant was disappointing, the food is poor quality , one time stale mouldy bread, juices watered down if you ask for no ice ( that felt like cheating) And a bit more expensive than better restaurants . It felt as if the owner/ manager doesn’t take pride in the restaurant and is just after profits . It’s a shame as it is a great location and would have been so handy to the hotel. We didn’t have breakfast included in the price food . The coffee is good though but no cakes or biscuits, just two small basic deserts that seem like they came from a supermarket . Ask for hot coffee otherwise sometimes it is luke warm. The staff are lovely, I feel sorry for them having to serve such low quality food
We loved the location, quiet, surrounded by rice fields . We hired a motorbike for the 10 nights, without it the cost of taxi’s would have mounted up and the road we felt was too busy and a bit dangerous to walk on as no footpath . If you did walk it’s about a 20 min walk to Alchemy restaurant . We really enjoyed this hotel, we had a big upstairs room with small balcony, separate bathroom with a bath. No mould , really clean and bright .

New ZealandWe are building a house nearby Uma Dana, so it’s really handy for us. We love all of the art around the hotel, the owner is a painter and used to have an art gallery. The price is good , the pool area lovely, and we often had the hotel to ourselves during the day while everyone was out - it was like our own personal private hotel.

Italycould have been a bit cleaner (I had always sand in my shower and centipedes on the floor) … but all in all I really liked the place and would come back next time when I’m on Bali.
really great location a bit outside of Ubud but still the center is easy to reach in about 10 min by scooter. it’s a calm place with friendly staff and the tropical Ants Restaurant just in front of the hotel is great for breakfast and dinner if you don’t want to go into town.

GermanyWe walked from „Puri Ubud, „Teman Bus“ Station near Ubud Palace, approx. 4,1 km to Uma Dana. At whole way & walk to Uma Dana there is nearly no pedestrian way, dangerous to walk. Nearly nobody @Bali knows the public transport system: „Teman Bus“ with new Japanese Mitsubishi Buses. Every 7 Minutes the AC Buses „K4B“ leave at Ubud Palace Area. Later on you have to change from „K4B“ Bus into „K2B“ Bus to Kuta. Opposite way with these Buses, from Kuta to Ubud. Cost for Bus tickets: Ubud to Kuta and Kuta to Ubud: 2* 4.400 Rupie ! Only 8.800 Indonesian Rupies per person, one way. Down Town Ubud: Government should stop the motorcycles & cars for tourists and make public transport at downtown Ubud. The traffic scenery is to chaoticly ! We have been the first time at Ubud 1989. That time Bali & Ubud was like paradise. Nowerdays not at all. The Toyota Project „SMART Shuttle @Ubud“ with cost free (September 2023 until February 2024) small electric cars at down town Ubud, is a good idea, but the rollout of this Project should be done in a total circle between 7-10 km around downtown Ubud. The software should be optimized by Toyota. Example: From Puri Place near Palace to Uma Dana Hotel Ubud. Today the traffic situation for cars & motorcycles at down town Ubud, is much slower than walking. It‘s „Stop and Go“ only Therefore Tourist Traffic, out of town, Accelerate and improve public traffic.
The Tropical Ants Restaurant, close to the Uma Dana has very nice atmosphere, good food. The 2 Uma Dana houses are very representative Buildings with nice Arts and Paintings at walls & lobby. The tropical garden and small pool are very nice. The fiew to green rice fields and palm trees is perfect. The personal staff is very friendly, The hotel is very quit and relaxed. Much better than the stressful traffic at Ubud, and whole Bali.

United Statesthe sheets were dirty, the shower water was cold, the fridge didn’t work, the bathtub had stains on them and the wifi was 3/5. I mean I’m not the pickiest person in the world, I could of worked with everything else but dirty sheets?! Absolutely not. they need to invest in new sheets and pillows, I had to psych myself into going to sleep in that bed every night. I was supposed to stay 15 days but ended up cutting it short to 2 days because of the uncomfortable bed, dirty sheets, and cold shower water. if you don’t mind those things being terrible then this is the place for you. management, if you are reading this, please invest in new comforters and sheets! please! this is gross.

BelgiumIt is so dirty. when we arrived our room was so dirty there were empty bottles and old slippers under our bed. spider webs in the corners of the room. it was horrible. Even when we asked to clean the room the next day, it was still dirty because my feet would turn black. Also they don’t clean until you ask for it. The room was full of bugs/ worms. i couldnt wait to check out for this hotel. it had so much potential lost … its like the rooms are abandoned.
the only 3 things I can say is that the breakfast is amazing. I have never seen a breakfast like that. it is at their little public restaurant. so pick breakfast included to get the benefit. second, the pool area is very nice. 3rd , the staff is very friendly.
