Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAs it is close to live music... there was a night there were competing bands at either side of the property. They stopped round 11. If you want a quiet night in... maybe it's best to join them... holidays!!
I liked that it was an oasis off the main street of Ubud. It was near a rice field, great restaurants and some live music. The staff, especially the tour/private driver was great. The pool was great. Friendly staff. Walking distance to galleries, great food and lots of fantastic tours to take + massage places near by.

AustraliaThe shower wasn’t great, the water pressure would turn off after 30seconds and you were unable to have a shower. The room was too big for the aircon as well so it didn’t cool the room down that much.
I loved the location of the property, central but not too loud at night. There was only one night I could hear the live music, otherwise it was excellent. Loved swimming in the pool as well. The breakfast was great each morning to!

ItalyGood value for money. Comfortable big bed, nice terrace. Small bathroom with a big shower. Quiet room only the sound of animals. There is a kettle heater and daily tea and coffee on the room table. Nice swimming pool, they also provide towels. The residence is full of greenery, located on a street full of restaurants of different cuisines and shops, but a quiet street. You can walk to the central street where the Royal Palace is in about 10-15 minutes. Super helpful and friendly staff.

FranceOur room wasn't perfectly clean. There were many molds inside the bathroom because there was no window to evacuate the water. Sometimes insects come inside your room, it's ok but because we were in Bali they're pretty big. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the room, and because you need to let the window open all day to aerate the bathroom they all come inside... Maybe they should add some net at the windows. The drain pipe is often blocked, it's a bit painful because it lets the molds grow... But I think I will come again here even with all of that, because the staff is great and the food is good.
Globally everything was great Uma Sari Cottage. The staff is friendly and professional. They all have a great English level. They know a lot of things about Bali and can really help if you want to do extra activities. They can book everything for you and create a perfect schedule. Oh and I haven't talked about the perfect breakfast you can add every morning. Everything is cooked at the hotel. You can choose between 4 different breakfasts or pick only the things you want on the card. Fruits are good, pancakes, french toast, eggs, panned banana and even nasi goreng can be chosen. A really good experience. I didn't even mention the swimming pool and the perfect garden.

The property is amazing! Its located in a very great area where eating places, shops and massage place are very near! The swimming pool is very clean and well maintained. AustraliaThere is a bar next door which often had live music of an evening. Nothing too crazy for the time we were there but could clearly hear it. The bathroom could have been cleaner but the remainder of the room was perfect.
The staff were lovely. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The pool and garden facilities were excellent. We LOVE the breakfast- the pineapple/banana pancakes and mi goreng were delicious.

SingaporeThe food are quite salty like the nasi goreng that needs to improve. The water in the shower is too long to heat up. The swimming pool is under maintenance during our stay. Theres an animal maybe a cat that keeps running around on the ceiling. You can hear the voices of the people on the next room. They don't refill the drinking water on the room everyday. The TV channel is limited, good thing that mostly we are out for tours so it is not a big deal for us.
The location is very ideal as it is walkable to Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, Ubud Market, and Saraswati Temple. There are many convenient stores nearby, restaurants and bars, and souvenir shops. The room is quite big and native design. The bed is big and very comfortable to sleep. The AC is very good. The ambiance is nice as you can hear around the sound of the beatles or bugs. The balcony is very spacious. You can hear the music band from the nearby bar.

SpainIt's essential to have earplugs. You can hear noises from the next room guests, a lot of noises from outside and there is a restaurant nearby with live music every night which is really loud.

United KingdomUnfortunately the drain in our bathroom kept on blocking, eventually the staff weren’t able to fix it. We were still able to use to bathroom throughout our stay but it required maintenance to fully fix the problem.
Really well located, comfortable rooms and the staff were really attentive!

IndiaOur (Standard-room) bathroom/room had a slight "damp straw smell" because of the bamboo/straw wall-upholstry. Quite minor and ignorable, but nonetheless. Standard room size is a small, and has just 1 window, hence a bit dark in the daytime.
Excellent location , surrounded by restaurants, bars, money-changers, tour and bike rental agencies. Super convenient to walk to the central areas of Ubud. Great for people watching. Beyond a king-sized bed in the Deluxe Room - very comfortable. Spacious room as well.
