Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Australia1) The hotel is run like a railway station. Noisy, difficult to communicate. There was constant noise on the night of the 20th April as there was some Punjabi loud music and your guests could not sleep. My daughter Sonya was still there and she told me .( 2) holding lakhs of rupees from credit cards for incidentals is bad. It took us days to get money refunded after we returned home. No other 5 Star hotel in Mumbai does that and we have stayed in Taj, Trident, Sofitel, etc.(3) Reception staff going through the accounts making us stand for considerable time and not explaining properly is bad. For older people especially they are unable to stand in one spot 30 minutes while explaining. Can’t you provide a desk and chair in a corner where all this explanation is carried out. (4) The regional choice of food at the breakfast was poor. In one corner too much Gujarati food everyday. Need more from Maharashtra or other states. (4) Your lounge on 4th floor is pathetic. TOO LITTLE choice and variety. Mainly Pani Puri and bhel puri every day. Also you have a sign requesting to keep conversation low and not too much noise. Yet every day there were a group of 3 men talking loud for hours. Others can’t relax and the supervisors during the period 15th to 17th had no guts to tell them to keep their conversation low. All the supervisors can say is shift somewhere else? Where somewhere else when the place is crowded like a Bazar. Some cookies and slices of cake could be provided in the lounge with tea and coffee all day.
Most of the staff were good and helpful especially staff who serviced the room and breakfast staff. However some of your reception staff who greet visitors and attend to them like check in or check out or settling bills need further training. Also the staff in the business lounge especially supervisors need to be got rid of or further training.

IndiaFor the price paid the room could have been bigger. The Marriott property in Pune is far superior. The area adjoining the windows are resting areas for pigeons! Wonder if they can do anything to deter the birds from using the areas and dirtying them!!

Amazing hotel. Customer service is top notch and nothing is too much trouble. Great facilities and the executive lounge is well worth the extra money. Celebrated my birthday here and room was decorated and birthday cake provided. Pool area is beautiful. Will definitely be back here.

IrelandNothing , maybe a bit of flexibility around very late checkin ie we arrived to hotel after 2am but still had to pay full rate . Also in the rooms no windows open and no balconies that is a major let down. But everything else perfect.
Hotel is beautiful, nothing extra required you literally need not leave the hotel to have a lovely holiday. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Swimming pool spotless and stays open until 10pm which is fantastic on a hot night in Mumbai!

United KingdomThe Marriott has a loyalty scheme, which was the reason why we booked the hotel in Mumbai. Unfortunately points are awarded only for direct bookings and the scheme is very poor in comparison to other hotel loyalty schemes. It is no reflection on this hotel whatsoever, but I will be looking at using other hotels in preference to the Marriott.
