I think Booking.com should tell guest way ahead of time that there is construction at a hotel. Heavy chlorine smell on first floor.

someone needs to be more thoughtful of the handicap accessibility rooms. there’s ZERO grab bars by the toilet and they are standard height. also the bed is much to tall for disabled folks to get in and out of with out help or risk of falling.

Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Was down for breakfast at 9:30am and no hot food and limited other food. Breakfast was served until 10am. Eventually the staff restocked the food, but had to talk with front desk before anything happened. If you are going to serve until 10am, then I don't think it is unreasonable to think they will keep food and beverages stocked until then.

The rooms were clean and comfy. Staff was very friendly.

We switched to this hotel after staying in a different one close by while heading out for our road trip and changed because we love Hamptons & wanted to use a hot tub, the hot tub was out of service the night we stayed. :( You can tell this was an older Hampton that has been updated, but it was comfortable and we felt safe.

It was easy to find getting off of the interstate for a one night stay, breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly upon check in or any time that we needed to interact with them.

I was not pleased with the staff. The gentleman who checked me in would not take my gift cards. He said you do that at check out. The Sunday he could not take them Now I have to call. TV we couldn't get to work. Front desk did help but took a while. Channel guide needs to be updated

Parking lot was not lite very well. It's was scary for 2 women parking & walking to front door after dark. Breakfast food was empty by 9 am. She did fix some more food but maybe 2 workers are needed on weekends

My sister is allergic to feather pillows & I didn't think to request no feather pillows in the room when making reservation. I asked front desk if they could have them replaced while we were out and they did. Greatly appreciated

Curb appeal when arriving at the hotel is a little bit lacking! Pulling in you wonder what you’ve gotten into.. the building needs some work on the outside and needs neighbors to clean up their property as well.

When we checked in. No hair dryer or towels Went to desk got towels immediately. Receptionist said she would have to track down a hair dryer and bring it to me. I never got a hair blower😥

The front of the hotel faces the Indiana Toll Road, so traffic noise for north- and west-facing rooms is a constant. While I was there, the elevator was inoperable so I got to schlep luggage (luckily on wheels) up and down stairs.

This Hampton is in the ideal location for travelers who want the convenience of Chicago or the Lake Michigan beachfront without the prices or the risks inherent in staying in an urban location. It is a mere 20 minute drive north to the public beach in New Buffalo, Michigan. It is a 10 minute drive into Michigan City to catch the South Shore railroad for an excursion into Chicago or in my case, to the Indiana Dunes state park. There are any number of restaurants in the area, both fast food and sit-down Most offer delivery to the hotel via Doordash. The hotel is sufficiently off-road that vehicle security is fairly high; the parking area is also very well lit.
