Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe check-in process is too long. They need to figure out a way where you are able to fill out details beforehand. When you arrive at a hotel, especially a Marriott, you do not expect a long check-in. Also very disappointed to find dirty napkins in the room and stained sheets. Expected much more quality from this hotel.
The rooms and bathroom were very spacious, the staff were very friendly and the outside chill out area was very relaxing.

United KingdomEvening meal food was average. Western food was particularly average, eg French fries didn't taste authentic, neither did the pasta or pizza. Has anyone senior tried the food to improve? Local curry at outside restaurants was also better IMHO. Facilities were excellent but if the chef hasn't ever tasted what the customers regard as good and is not sufficiently trained the food will always be below average.

New ZealandWe went back for a mid-afternoon lunch at the restaurant after checking out that morning. After choosing and paying for buffet, the staff come along after 20 minutes and say we have to move in 20 minutes for evening meal preparation to happen. Communicating the short time should have happened, and made for a poor end to an otherwise great experience.
Love this hotel, a quality experience overall and recommended.

AustraliaThere was a weird smell in our room maybe due to the A/C but when we told the staff they were helpful and provided an air purifier to help with the smell.
The overall hotel was amazing the staff is very respectful and friendly and took care really well. We had hired a OLA to go to the airport and the driver wouldn’t help us then the staff outside told him off and asked to help.
