The restaurant is not so well kempt and not inviting. Though I had sandwiches and cold coffee , it was delicious!

Didn’t take breakfast. The main bonus point of this hotel is its location!

Communication prior to arrival whilst trying to arrange an airport transfer was poor.

The bed is super hard, almost like sleeping on a table.

It is a very atmospheric place with a traditional decor. The shower is perfect! The best thing about this hotel is the location, very close to all the places of interest. We thought it might be a chaotic place being so close to the ghats, but actually it is very calm and quiet inside. Overall we found it clean and comfortable.

Mr Ajay Singh in Reservations had a curt and indifferent manner that made us apprehensive initially but fortunately all the Front Desk and Housekeeping staff were warm and helpful. Breakfast ticks many boxes but is average in taste and ambiance. Do keep in mind that Assi Ghat is at one end of the riverfront

Well located near one of the main Ghats so commuting to/fro by autos or boats is easy. Room was clean with all basic conveniences and adequately sized (about 170 sft plus en suite bathroom of about 30 sft) for travellers who are going to be out and about most of the time

Communication could be improved if staff had better basic English. Stayed here 8 years ago and the hotel has definitely declined in standard since then. Hotel also forgot to arrange the pre organised airport pick up. So we had to arrange taxi at airport.

Right on Assi Ghat and perfect for walking along the Ganges and ghats. Food was good with very willing restaurant staff.

The second room we were allotted was on the top most roof for viewing hole ganges. It was costliest but most disappointing. It was very dirty and maintained casually. It was like barsati.

Break fast was denied to us despite it was in the package. After much discussion and showing the mail to us, it was allowed. It was insulting. Break fast was ok.

I can write about my room 204. It basically DID have and DID not have a window. The window opened to see pipes and sanitation pipes.

Position of the hotel was excellent. The staff was helpful . Never used the restaurant .

There are no elevators in the hotel and the trudge up to the rooms or rooftop restaurant may not be friendly for the elderly. The food is average and the menu has no theme. The breakfast buffet is passable at best. Many rooms have no windows or view. The amenities in the bathrooms need improvement.

The hotel is well-located and has a unique old-world charm. The staff are friendly and try to cater with a smile.

Rooms have NO views either of river Ganga or any other scene. rear window has bear wall view. Other improvements required : cleanliness , wifi, bathroom fittings /fixtures, access to reception , breakfast is served in basement and preparations are cooked on roof .

Its location ,from where we could just walk to Assi Ghat and other mandirs.

A/C was not working well, breakfast is very poor, reception people gave us wrong information about the time of aarti, we paid for transfer to airport, car was 30 minutes late, seems reception person forgot to arrange it. Too high price for this quality of service.

we had booked 3 rooms, 2 first and then a third room, two rooms were fine but one room, named goa had poor beds, we had booked an extra bed which was just a mattress on the floor staff friendly although their price didnt match with the price on booking.com, so worth checking before paying, the difference was 4000 rupees they agreed and didnt charge the higher amount when I pointed this to them bathrooms basic but adeqaute clean towels could be better

just had coffee, breakfast basic but ok fantastic location, beside assi ghat i had booked 3 heritage rooms (in 2 separate bookings) two rooms were good, one room was poor
