How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom was very small. Window in room didn’t seem to close properly, so it was difficult to keep the room cold
Very central location, could buy water at reception desk. Free breakfast everyday - but it’s a set menu, they don’t ask your order so they can’t accommodate any allergies etc.

I hope they provide kettle in the room.
Friendly n Honest/Responsible staffs. When check out, I forgot my wallet/hp, one of the staff quickly ran down n give it to me before i walk out of hotel. Thanks! They even help us with carrying big luggages. The place also very strategic.

The room I stayed was very small, and so was the bed.
Good option in Paharganj. Safe. Reliable, very friendly and professional staff. Rooftop is a great advantage, especially in the evenings. If you want to stay in Paharganj this can be one of the best choices.

The entrance road is in poor condition, making it impossible to reach the hotel doorstep with a vehicle. You must disembark near a small road and walk to the hotel. The area where you disembark is unpleasant, with a foul smell and untidy, busy surroundings. At night, there is considerable noise disturbance. Additionally, the linens in the room were not cleaned during our three-night stay.
We had a three-night stay at the hotel. It's conveniently located near both the metro and railway stations. They arranged pickup from Delhi airport for 780 INR and a Delhi sightseeing tour for 2500 INR. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff was friendly.

Breakfast was good. And location excellent. Staff went out of there way to help you. Especially vischal who helped me purchase tickets for the cricket at cost price.

Paharganj is a busy and loud neighborhood. But we didn’t mind that.
Everyone in the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. The room was comfortable. We recommend this hotel.

Located right off main bazaar road. Rooms are basic but just what you need! We had a great stay. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast was great and the staff who served breakfast so friendly and smiley. Yes it can be noisy at night but you are staying in a very busy area so no matter which hotel you stay you are going to hear noise. We arrived at 4am which was no problem. Hot water needs to be turned on my staff which they do immediately and only takes 10 mins to heat up. They also have a travel desk if you need help booking anything. Would stay here again!

Old towel in bathroom behind door could have been removed. But not a hugge issue. Wifi not great on roof top. Other than that all good.
The staff were great. The location close to all the action. Airport pick up went without a hitch. Breakfast was good. Super with onward bookings by Rishi. SIM card no problem and took the time to sort out the glitches. Decent rate for changing money. Ravi and his team can do it all for you! I will stay at Smyle again.
