Room shortage that led to problems for colleagues. Breakfast not as good as pre COVID

The shower in the bathroom had very low water pressure and the handle was half broken. We were pressured into choosing a twin bed even though we booked a king bed. We were told no king bed with a sea view is available. And when we saw the twin room and didn’t like it and insisted then a king bed with the sea view became available. It wasn’t a great check in experience.

The food was excellent. Breakfast buffet was great. One of the chef’s Shehnaz Irani was exceptional in the service she provided and how she explained the dishes and made recommendations. Especially accomodating to the non spicy Australian taste.

Only the fact that we heard quite some noise when the room above is took a shower.

Beautiful hotel, good atmosphere, great food. Breakfast team from vista restaurant took great care of the magnificent breakfast. And our cleaning service on the 17th floor, Mohan and its colleagues, overdelivered for us big time. Thank you so much!! 10/10 experience for us.

View of sea link and sparkling water in the Bay, is so mesmerising! Would love to stare at this view from a room. Ms. Renuka at Reception Desk has been extremely helpful and welcoming for smooth check in procedures. Staff having such a warm attitude makes adds incredible value to Hospitality of Taj Group. It goes without saying that, there are more than enough reasons to prefer this hotel over others in this area.

Absolutely amazing hotel- starting from the location, building itself, atmosphere inside up to the highest level of service. Rooms are clean and well-designed, with all necessary equipment and auxiliaries - flat TV set, independently controlled air conditioner, tea pot, iron + iron stand, hair dryer, and so on. Food for breakfast is extremely good in quality and of wide variety. And again - the service is perfect! All hotel facilities you may want are just there - an outdoor pool, very well-equipped gym with "wet zone": sauna, steam room, etc., 3 restaurants and lobby bar. As well , I used to spend my time for leisure and work in the Club Lounge, what I absolutely fell in love with. And again - responsiveness of the hotel management and staff as well as service provided just excellent! At my next visit to Mumbai I will definitely stay at Taj Lands End. Well done!

Staff is taught to be far too subservient - constant “namaste namaste” is uncomfortable and not necessary

We were upgraded to Taj club on the 24th floor. Room was spacious but could be cleaner. Staff generally were helpful and courteous. There were a lot of options for breakfast. The Ming Yang restaurant was superb.

Wonderful place with high level of security! Comfortable, clean, large room with large bathroom with nice lighting and dimmer controls. Nice garden and swimpools, hot jacuzzi that can be used in late evening. Stuff is professional and well trained. Afternoon Hi tea in the Taj Club longe with a lot of food choices, excellent Lavazza coffee varieties and amazing sunset view!

My biggest (& only) gripe are the elevators. There are 4 elevators yet only 1 of the 4 seem to operate at any time. You could be waiting 5 minutes or more for the elevator to come and then that same elevator will stop on every floor till its full to get to the lobby. The door staff give me every excuse under the sun but this is my 3rd stay there and no improvement to the way the lifts function. You cannot call an Uber and then expect to be down in the lobby in time to get it as you could still be waiting for the lift. Given there are 4 lifts - baffled!

Taj Lands end (Bandra) is a truly luxurious experience in a wonderful part of Mumbai and located just right for travel around Mumbai. Everything (professional, courteous, organised, service driven) one would expect from a Taj (TATA) group 5 star hotel. The band stand walk along the sea is perfect to find tranquil seclusion and watch the sun go down. Bliss experienced.
