It was one of the best stays. The hosts were very friendly. The hosts proactively arranged for trips, football matches and it was great fun. Not just the hosts, all the guests hang out at the terrace and it was very "vibing". Got a lot of memories and great experiences from the trip. I can definitely say if it wasn't for Tamasha the trip to Udaipur wouldnt have been this fun. We just looved it!!

The owners Ilivia and Pragya are young, full of live and so sympathetic. They are organizing trips and excursions almost every day, if there are enough people participating. Also stuff is very kind and helpful at any hour of the day or night :) The position in the city and the wonderful rooftop makes Tamasha a jewel of Hostels of Udaipur!!

Wish there was a little more space in the dorms

The owner and staff make this place magical. They care and make sure you are enjoying yourself and feel safe. They created a good balance of a social hostel but not a party hostel. Rooftop and terrace are lovely for watching sunset. The scooter tour was one of the best experiences during my month in India.

Tamasha is an amazing place to stay thanks to the fantastic owner and staff who work there. They do their very best to help you with anything you need whether it’s recommendations, transportation or something with your room. The location is brilliant - a minute away from city palace and it’s very easy to get tuk tuks to reach other destinations. (They’ll also help you negotiate prices.) My two highlights from the stay were the communal area with the lakeside view and their Scooty tour. The communal area was a lovely way to see the sunset, relax and meet other travellers (especially through their community dinners and food options) The scooty tour was a day tour of seeing the nature side of udaipur! Thank you Elivia for everything and all the best for your future endeavours!

Nothing to complain about

Everything! The view from the upstairs is breathtaking. The hostel also has a great location within walking distance from the main tourist attractions. The stuff and owners were very polite and cooperative which made the stay at the property even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this hostel if you want a budget, comfortable and enjoyable stay in Udaipur

Such a memorable stay. The hosts go out of their way to make you feel comfortable irrespective of your nationality (so be sure to give them the same respect). Pooja and Pragya are terrific in setting the mood during evenings, with fun activities planned for socialising (starting with a complimentary tea at sunset). Don't think there's a better view of the lake and the sunset anywhere else in Udaipur. Shoutout to Khushal, Parvez, and Rohit for the positive vibes.

Nothing which you didn't like there

I love all the things of this hostel.Especially Host Priya and Pragya they both are too good, One of the best sunset view , Cafe , dorms are hygeine , best place for solo traveller. All itinerary places are walk able distance.

No complains

The staff was absolutely amazing with us. They were kind asking us if we wanted to join other activities with other guests. They were far beyond they had to and helped us to sort out the transport , one of the people running the hotel walked with us to find a place to pick a tuk tuk to the airport. They upgraded us to a better room free of charge when we arrived

The rooms at the top level have a superb view on the lake and parts of the town plus sunset. The location is at walking distance to the city palace and interesting parts of the city. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.

The mattresses were like a rock!

Tamasha is one of the best hostels we've ever stayed in! Pragya and Elivia are such gems and went above and beyond to make our stay the best! The scooty tour was great fun and we got to see the beautiful Bodi lake. They also made a special surprise for our anniversary which was so thoughtful of them! Very social hostel in a great location.

The rooms were quite noisy, even the privates. I had to sleep with earplugs every night. But it's a hostel so it's what you'd expect!

Elivia and the whole crew were really nice, helpful and inclusive. They happily made everyone feel welcome and respected those who didn't want to join in or party as much as those who did. The views are incredible, best for the price in Udaipur for sure. Activities bookable through the hostel were great, I took part in the scooter tour and a community dinner, they tried to help set up a viewing of a rugby match and even though it didn't work I really appreciated the effort. The location is brilliant, easy to get to the Palace and Lake.
