Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. The space is gorgeous, very luxurious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated (love the fresh flowers displays throughout) but what really stands out about the Oberoi is the service. It’s truly above and beyond. Sachin, Noor, Satish, Arjun, Kajal, the chef and so many others really made me feel cared for and that is why it is my favorite hotel in the world. The breakfast is excellent, with at least 3 mango 🥭 options and 22 fruits overall. I really appreciate that they accommodate vegans. And the Oberoi signature massage treatment I had was otherworldly. Don’t miss the 7am yoga class on the pool deck!

The courtesy. As we celebrated our wedding anniversary, we were offered beautiful complimentary cakes, decoration in our room, and bottle of wine. It was a pleasant surprise and felt really special. Sachin was very kind in receiving us and making our anniversary memorable. The housekeeping team was very warm. The cleanliness is exceptionally. Chinna's smile and speed are very outstanding. Karveel at the entrance was really kind in helping with taxis, and they all warmly welcome you at the entrance. Breakfast was nice,very warm staff there too. Joshua stood out for us at the dining. Generally, it was a very beautiful stay. I would stay there again.

Fantastic property with a vibrant yet calming lobby overlooking the coastline of what is an otherwise anything but calming city. Tasteful and minimally decorated, which suits an urban hotel stay. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. They provided extra beds for our children, which were proper beds, not just a mattress on the floor. The children were thrilled with the teddies that the hotel gave them as well as fantastic activity packs about India. The breakfast is excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We had a fantastic two nights here and the children (ages 5 and 7) declared it "the best hotel in the world". The location is great, right by Marine Drive. It was very easy to get a taxi outside the hotel or the staff will get one for you. The pool is really nice. You can also use the Trident's pool as the pool areas are connected.

LiechtensteinWe visited The Oberoi, Bombay, to celebrate our 25th anniversary in January 2024. It turned out that The Oberoi clearly exceeded our already high expectations. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Harleen, whose warm and friendly behavior made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. Her attentiveness and genuine kindness were constant throughout our stay. We also were very surprised to find a wonderful chocolate cake in our room on the occasion of our anniversary. Besides the great location and wonderful design of this hotel, the entire staff at this wonderful hotel was very friendly and attentive. We especially want to mention Sous Chef Richard, who accompanied us culinarily throughout our stay and continually surprised us with unexpected delicacies. Unfortunately, we missed the Saturday brunch. We hope we will soon have the opportunity to make up for it. This hotel is one of the few 5-star hotels that, alongside luxury and quality, manages to convey a family atmosphere where one spontaneously feels at ease. We are sure when we return, it will feel a bit like "coming home". We are already looking forward to it and thank The Oberoi Team for its hospitality. Oliver and Nicole

SwitzerlandI chose this property mainly based on the outstanding rating on booking.com. 9.3 is not justified, in my opinion. First of all, the noise insulation in the rooms is not sufficient. I woke up several times during the night from loud noises from other rooms or from the corridor. When the person next door showered, it sounded like it was in my own room. During the days there was some renovation work going on (even on Saturday), which made staying in the room uncomfortable. Secondly, some things in the room were damaged or looked scruffy, which shouldn't happen in an expensive 5 star property: the privacy blinds were ripped, one lamp shade and curtain was stained and the trash bins were scratched and in one case not clean (lots of sticky residue on the bottom). Finally, some places weren't cleaned so well. Not a big deal, but I expect better at a 5 star hotel.
The service and the attentiveness of all staff was amazing. Breakfast was a highlight and beyond what I had expected. There was a nice selection of fruit, vegetables, pastries etc. and in addition it was possible to order things from a selection of international and Indian breakfast dishes. Truly outstanding.
