Johan was the perfect host. So helpful, yet unobtrusive. Shared so much helpful information and history. Apologies that he had to reach out to us twice! for forgotten items. We were only there one night but wish it had been for more. Truly a highlight of our week in Iceland.

House is great and the owner gave us a lot of very useful tips to prepare our trip. We tried them all and they turned out to be very useful, sometimes allowing us to see things out of the classic sights and much better because less crowded. Place looks great, facilities are perfect. Breakfast was really good too. Perfect !

Our stay was great! Johann is a great host, so helpful, attentive, and friendly. He gave us travel advice and maps, got along great with our non-english speaking children. The house is so interestingly decorated and the jacuzzi was wonderful. Everything was clean and attention to details was great. The breakfast was varied and tasty.

very clean and comfortable after a long flight we were happy with the place delicious breakfast wonderful coffee, just wanna thank Johann for being so flexible and understanding with our delayed flight we didn’t arrive until gone 2.30 am yet Johann still greeted us warmly at the door and carried our luggage in, unbelievable hospitality, we will definitely return soon!

Although Guesthouse Nordheimar excelled in location, cleanliness, comfort, convenience, the host really made it beyond exceptional. He was friendly, fun, helpful and just so personable. He was very knowledgeable about things to see and do in Iceland and had a great assortment of maps for different regions. Our stay was great and too short!

I really liked the house, the spacious living room, comfortable beds , and everything is clean , there were many interesting books where you can find everything about Iceland and not only. The host was very hospitable and informed man , and showed us some good routes. A very nice place for stay.

The host gave us tips for interesting locations to visit.The neighbourhood is calm but close enough to Selfoss to do things. Oh and there is a jacuzzi free to use for the guests.

Nothing, everything was as described on booking.com so our expectations were met.

We received a very warm welcome by the host, a tour of the house and where the facilities were. Accompanied with a cup of coffee and a biscuit, exactly what we needed at the end of the day. Visited and fed the horses as well. A host in the truest meaning of the word!
