Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeThe shower drain was clogged and the bed was quite uncomfortable, maybe I’m just not used to sleeping on soft pillows, couldn’t really sleep well :(
First impression, Anna was super nice and friendly! We really felt welcomed the second we met her. Loved her cheerful and bubbly personality despite the language barrier. Appreciate that she gave us a piece of hand-written instructions and information about the stay in English! The size of the room was just nice for 2 of us, and it included a sofa and a relatively large bathroom.

SwedenThe breakfast is across the street, in a lovely coffee bar, but the staff gave us the wrong opening hours, making us miss 2 out of the 3 mornings.
Property was nice! Clean room, good location close to buss and metro.

RomaniaThe window was facing the interior courtyard, it looks depressing. The facade of the building was being refurbished, and the guest house was hard to find. Having the extra bed extended for our son, there was no space left in the room to open a suitcase completely.
The hosts were nice. The location is quite easily accessible via public transport.

SwedenTraffic is hectic (as everywhere in Rome). The rooms are not too noise insulated but the other guests and neighbours were nice and quiet so it did not bother. Traffic noise did not bother inside.
Good clean rooms. The host was most kind and helpfull and despite the language barrier she managed to explain all necessary details and helped us solve a small problem that appeared. It was very easy to find dinner places and it is just a short walk to Cornelia metro station to Termini. Buses stop just outside the house. We took an evening stroll with family in the area and experienced ordinary Rome city life, and from the nearby parco del pineto (picture) there is view to St Peter's Cathedral. A small breakfast is included at the next door café. We dumped our car at the nearby garage, which was ca 25€ for 24h.

AustriaEverything was fine
Location was perfect, near Metro and Night Bus is just in front of the Hotel - that was great for us because we needed a ride at 3am to the Airport. Close to hotel are also supermarkets, restaurants and coffe shops where we got our Italian breakfast every morning. The owner was really nice, she provided also extra coffee and croissant for us. Room was clean. We will definitely come back :)

RussiaSome issues with soundproof, but wasn't critical for us (rather for our neighbours).
The facility is very clean and cozy. Very convenient location next to metro and direct airport bus shuttle. Super restaurant opposite the Guest House called L'osteria del Mare (very good value for money). Breakfast in typical Italian place where you can interact with locals ) Absolutely warm-hearted host 🤗 very thoughtful and cheerful!

Netherlands- not really a negative thing, but just something to take into account about the location: it’s not the central, historic neighbourhood that you see in movies, but it is still safe, lively and has all the facilities that you may need. It’s close to the Vatican, and well-connected to public transport (the metro and bus stations are just a few minutes walking from the building). Just be aware that currently (September 2022) the metro does not work in the evenings, so you may need an alternative form of transport (e.g. the night bus).
- a nice, comfortable room that has all the necessary facilities and that was cleaned every day (the bathroom was also quite clean which is something that I personally find very important) - access to a shared little kitchen very well equipped - the experience of the typical italian breakfast (coffee/cappucino and cornetto/croissant) - simple but so good! - last but not least, the hospitality, and kindness of the owners. They were helpful, friendly, and absolutely lovely people! :) All in all, great value for money. We’ll definitely come back next time we are in Rome!

Czech RepublicA great place to stay while seeing Rome. The accommodation was pleasant, cozy, and well-kept. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They helped with any questions we had during our staying. Special thanks to Raffaella, who always met us with a smile and gave good advice on staying in the city. The setting is appropriate. You won't have any trouble travelling to the most intriguing locations. The residence is 3 minutes from the metro, and a bus stop is directly across the street. You can get to the Vatican in 15 minutes, and the Colosseum will be at your disposal in approximately 30 minutes... A croissant of your choice and a cup of coffee make up a mini breakfast. Both the croissant and the coffee are sure to please you and sweeten your morning. The cafe where you will be treated to this pleasant breakfast is located in the next building. It is uncomfortable to cook at the guesthouse if you wish to. But there is a fridge to store the food from the supermarket or "take away" and a microwave to reheat it. In addition, there is an opportunity to make coffee or tea, which are always available in the kitchen. You will also find some juice and water in the fridge to quench your thirst. My wife and I appreciate having a good time while visiting your guesthouse and the city!

United KingdomGreat accommodation, once we found it. Could do with clear instructions with regard to location in block of apartments. The Guest house call button was very small and easily missed, other than that everything else was spot on, very near the metro station and the metro is great value.

MaltaPoor sound insulation in room - other guests walking in, or talking, and sometimes use of showers can be heard across the rooms Bathroom slightly small - okay for us but might be found to be slightly suffocating for some (we might have had the smallest room, as according to the plan, other rooms seem slightly larger than ours.
Small yet comfortable room Super easy check in and check out, very friendly staff who welcomed us in. Issue with hairdryer not working immediately taken care of, another one was left in our room :) thank you! Very close metro, and buses towards centre of Rome - extremely comfortable, despite place location seemingly slightly "far" from centre. Delicious good coffee and pastry for breakfast included from nearby bar AMAZING food from wood oven bakery 'Popi Pizza' 100 metres away - You HAVE to try their pizza - and so cheap too! Supermarket right across the street Many other restaurants, clothes shops, pharmacy, McDonalds, even Flying Tiger close by

The location is exceptional as everything is within easy reach - metro - 3 min away, shop across the road, restaurants, bus stop for transfer from Fiumicino airport 5 min away. Easy access to the centre - metro. Everything was great. I recommend

Czech RepublicDuring our stay the building was under reconstruction. Parking is quite difficult - near parking houses were closed or full. We have found parking 500 m from house near Via Francesco Albergotti.
Place was near to underground station, also buses are usable to reach the center easily.
