This was our fourth stay at Hotel Bologna. Wonderful little family run hotel. They look after your every need. Close to train station, restaurants, stores and the seafront.

The access to the car park was the most narrow road we'd ever driven down, literally the width of the car. Being an old buidling there were no lifts and we were on the 4th floor with heavy luggage so quite a challenge. Other than these things that are unavoidable everything else was great.

Fantastic location in easy reach of all the attractions. Charming old buidling. Rooms were compact but confortable with everything you needed. Lovely staff. Very helpful and gave lots of useful information.

When we first walked into the lobby we were worried, as it's very dated, it's like something out of the 70s. There was no lift, which was a challenge with our bags.

Google Maps advised to park on Via Balbi and walk to the hotel but you must drive down a very narrow alley to access the hotel's gated parking area.

The hotel's location was excellent to visit the UNESCO listed palaces and historical sites of Genoa. The owner spoke good English and advised us on where to visit to make the most of our one night stay, including great recommendation for dinner. The bathroom was newly refurbished and modern.

The room was extremely comfortable. It felt modern yet traditional and had everything we needed - great bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities and a big comfy bed. Our van was too big for the hotel parking but we parked it 5 minutes away at the Aquarium which felt easy and safe. The hotel staff were extremely helpful - friendly and flexible about our delayed late check in and providing excellent advice on parking and the best place for breakfast. The location is outstanding, right next to the Genoa old town.

No breakfast available on site at the hotel, but lots of nearby dining options. They informed us that they plan to add a breakfast option in the future!

Excellent location near the Palazzo Reale and Basilica Santissima Annunziata del Vastato! Warm, friendly, and helpful staff. Very secure onsite parking for €15 extra (albeit challenging to access, small cars only) Hotel gave us a map with excellent recommendations, including a great place to eat traditional food!

Everything was great.

Simple, easy walk from the train station. Our room was newly renovated, clean and very comfortable. Anna was extremely helpful with directions and sightseeing tips. She made reservations at two different restaurants which we truly enjoyed.

Tightness of the alley to get to the parking area. The host helped but if you have a large car it is very tight

it is in the heart of the historic part of Genoa making it easy to walk to the significant sites. there is secure parking which is important for those of us who drive. The hosts were very wonderful and charming people. They made a huge difference in our stay.

We stayed for three nights and following the first night we forgot to hang the "do not disturb" sign on the door handle when we left in the morning, as we don't really need room cleaning, towel changes etc. for such a short stay. Due to this, they indeed cleaned the room, changed the towels (which we had hung up, to use again) and rather re-arranged our stuff in the room and bathroom, which felt a bit strange to me.

Good location overall, close to the old city center and many of the attractions, train station, good connections to the airport. Some of the adjacent streets looked shady, so best to arrive at the hotel via the main street (Via Balbi) The room was quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, a second pillow would have been nice to have. They do not have breakfast available, but there are many cafes nearby, perfect to start your day. No elevator for 4 floors, this was not a problem for us, but it is worth to note this info. Friendly staff, willing to answer all your questions.
