How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location for exploring both the upper and lower town. We were welcomed by the friendly host who gave us lots of useful information. We had a fantastic few days in beautiful Bergamo.

B&B San Benedetto exceeded my expectations. The apartment was very clean, fully equipped and well maintained during our stay. It is very closed to the city center, to the old town and bus stops, 10min walking from the Central train station and 20min with the bus from the airport. The most remarkable thing was the host, very communicative, helpful and smiled.

Cesaro is an amazing host, explains everything about Bergamo and it's surroundings. We tried some restaurants he recommended and loved them all!

Great location, kind of close to everything BUT specially to bus and train station. Fast check-in (later hours available too) & out. Comfortable bed in nice Italian room :) The host was friendly and available at any time you would need. We didn't need to bother, but it is a huge plus.

Perfect location, nice and spacious apartment, kitchenette with all the basic things for a short time stay. Helpful host who allowed us to leave the suitcases before check - in time and gave us many suggestions about Bergamo:-)

The location is great, close to the center of down town, and very close to the Cita Alta (upper town). The owner was very friendly and gave is a lot of useful informations. The accomodation is spacious and beds are comfortable.

Very good value for money. Perfect location, near bus stop, accessible walking distance to everything. Room was clean with everything you need for stay. Owner is very friendly and helpfull and will give you some good tips for restaurants etc.

We enjoyed everything about our stay, the room was very clean, we didn’t have to worry about necessities, everything was stocked up:) the host is amazing, he was very helpful, we could contact him everytime we needed something, he reccomended the best places to visit in Bergamo:) truly grateful for that trip! the double bed was built of two single bed
The room was very large and comfortable with a very nice balcony. It is located very close to all main attractions. The host was very helpful and welcomed.

The location is absolutely perfect. There is an option to use an underground parking space, which was really convenient for us. The center of Bergamo and the Citta Alta are on both sides and equally close, just a few minutes walking. We also found the perfect restaurant two minutes away (Trattoria da Adrian), which was really nice for the evenings. Cesare was a wonderful host, gave us amazing sightseeing advice which really helped us. The appartment is beautiful, clean and cosy, but bear in mind the walls are not going all the way to the top (so the two bedrooms are not very isolated in terms of noise). Even so, the view from the window at night is just amazing. I recommend highly this place, it made our stay full of precious memories!

The walls were rather thin and there was a lot of noise coming from the other apartment.
The location was central and the main attractions were quite easy to reach. Our host was very friendly and helped us with all the information that we needed. The apartment had many facilities, including a small coffee machine and a microwave.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed, coffee machine, great location The owner, Ceazar, is very kind, nice and very very helpful. You can feel his kindness in every word. Highly recomended

Location was perfect. Near the old town and new town. Bus stop down the street to the airport. Only 15 minutes from the train station. Very secure. Clean and comfortable & warm. Nice and quite too.

It was a bot cold, but it is not a problem with the accommodation itself - the heating was on.
Perfect location, friendly staff, who gave us many valuable recommendations! The apartment has all the kitchen supplies, coffee, and tea for free. All was great.
