How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

All staff members of this hotel are absolutely exceptional! They made our stay amazing. I came to Rome with my girlfriend to propose to her, and thanks to this amazing place, it went smoothly. I can only recommend it! Location + spa was amazing… I am also sending special thanks to Francesca and Claudia for the special surprise at the end of our stay.

Some of the common areas upstairs were tired. The hallway carpet is quite old fashioned and does not appear to be in keeping with the Art Deco style of the hotel.

I recently stayed at the Baglioni hotel and was blown away by the attention to detail! From the personalized welcome message to the complimentary bottle of wine, every aspect of my stay felt special. The personnel were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel right at home. The interiors of the hotel were absolutely lovely, adding to the overall charm of the experience. And let's not forget the amazing location! I can't wait to visit again; it's definitely a place I'd love to return to. A huge thank you to Benedetta, the reception manager, for ensuring such a wonderful stay!

Oh, what an extended weekend it was! Benedetta and the team had taken great care of us even before we arrived! The location is just outstanding, few steps away from Villa Borghese, with a lovely walking distance to any main attractions. When wanting to visit Vatican Museum in early morning, they offered to serve a lovely breakfast pre-hours in our room. Another day, having the breakfast in their main room was an experience by itself with the live music. They went above and beyond. We have stayed at a few Baglioni properties within Italy before, all of them being great - but this one has just this something extra special! Thank you!

The only thing to mention here is hot water. For an unknown reason you had to wait for some 5-7 minutes after switching on the shower to have the water worm, not even hot. It is not a huge problem, taking into account how old the building is, but...
The hotel is perfectly placed in the city center, when you are a bit away from cultural monuments and at the same time all of those are just around the corner. Personnel of the hotel is always close to you and never bothers, only helps and supports any of your wishes.

A very nice hotel in the very center of the eternal city. Worth the price. A very spacious junior suite with the free bed for our son. Great balcony. Very good room service (when traveling with kids it is of importance). A great small spa. Great breakfast till 11. Amazing staff. Loved it. Will be back for sure.

We didn't like one employee at the reception. It was a blonde woman. She was not friendly enough. + We arrived at 14:00 and continued in the lobby for another 15 minutes (since our room was not ready, although our check-in was at 14:00), and then I still had to run after her to find out the Wi-Fi passport. They didn't even offer us water. In a word , I didn't like it. It felt like I came not to a 5-star hotel, but personally to her home. An unpleasant aftertaste developed after this.
Everything except the staff (a blonde woman) on reception.
