Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe room we had was without a balcony and next time we would take one with. There are plenty of mosquitos and we would have appreciated nets on the windows to keep them out of the room. Due to automatic lighting in the bathroom, whenever you enter it, you cannot leave the window open during the night if you do not want to get mosquito visits. I'll Despite the excellent restaurant for dining, we preferred to take the apéro outside because the drinks were a lot cheaper and the antipasti and little bites served with it were much more and better.
Excellent location, very friendly staff in particular the cleaning lady who was keeping our room very tidy and clean over the whole 2 weeks, excellent restaurant with a chef who knows his metier, nice wine selection recommended by a competent sommeliere.

BrazilI had an incredible four-night stay at this remarkable glamping site. The tent offered a breathtaking view of the charming town of Scarlino, creating a truly magical ambiance. Choosing this place to celebrate my birthday turned out to be the best decision ever. The cozy and inviting atmosphere added an extra touch of charm to the occasion, creating memories I will forever cherish. The breakfast experience was beyond exceptional. Each morning, a delightful basket filled with delicious treats was delivered straight to my tent. It was a feast for both the eyes and taste buds, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. Out of all the hotels I visited in Tuscany, this glamping site became my favorite. The attention to detail, impeccable service, and genuine warmth of the staff made me feel like part of their extended family. Their unmatched hospitality left a lasting impression. The pool was an oasis of tranquility, providing the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sun. Surrounded by captivating scenery, it enhanced the overall beauty of the site. Let's not forget the incredible dinner experience. Each evening, I was treated to high-quality, creative dishes that delighted both my palate and soul. The culinary journey was truly exceptional. In conclusion, my stay at this glamping site was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an extraordinary getaway. I'm already excited to share this hidden gem with friends and family, as it deserves to be discovered and cherished by all who appreciate beauty, tranquility, and an unforgettable experience.

United KingdomThe fact that they didn't tell us that the swimming pool was closed however they apologized and gave us a discount on the rate.
The beautifully renovated structure, comfort and particularly the service of Mr Gallo, a true professional who made us feel at home.

United StatesMany negative feedbacks from past visitors were about the road to reach the place, which was described as long and tortuous. We find that was true, but after a couple of rides we got used to it. As for the problem of crossing another car in the opposite direction (it is quite a narrow road), it is indeed a potential problem, but it happened to us only twice in 8 days and it didn't turn out such a trouble. Another issue was the slow service at dinner: some times we had to wait more than half an hour between servings, although the food made the waiting worth it... eventually. Finally, we found no satisfying beach in the area (Punta Ala beach is okay, especially for dogs, but not great; Baratti was too crowded and the water was dirty in the part of the beach where dogs are allowed). In general we had to travel quite far to reach any point of interest. (i.e. Siena, Val d'Orcia, Monte Argentario). For this reason, we recommend La Vedetta for a short stay, as the place in itself is worth a visit, but not the surroundings.
Be Vedetta is a beautiful place in any respect. The location, on a hill top, with a view that includes the Elba island and, on a clear day, even Corsica, is amazing, and can be enjoyed both from some rooms (ours included) and from the tables on the veranda. The building is surrounded by a garden full of herbs and local plants, well kept but not overly manicured. As for the room, nothing was missing and every effort was made to combine confort with the preservation of the original structure, style and "mood" of the place. A special mention to the bed: huge and just perfect. Every detail here denotes care from the owner, from the designer lamps on the outdoor tables (instead of the usual candles), to the scented body lotion offered in the bath room and down to the patisserie at breakfast or the wines at dinner. A note of honour to the chef: some of the dishes served at dinner will defintely stay in my memory! Last but not least, the personnel was nice, friendly and attentive. Despite the high standards of the place, there was no snobbiness whatsoever but a very relaxed atmosphere instead. If you are the lucky owner of a dog, this is a dream place for both of you: dogs are not only accepted, but welcomed! Your fury friend will soon feel at home here, just as you.

United StatesYou have a beautiful facility, but I was very angry with breakfast! I did not know how to use coffee maker- spilled water everywhere and no coffee! Breakfast, in a box?, was cold, toast was cold. This was very bad and detracted from the beauty. Needless to say you do not want me giving you a rating as it will not be as you would like it. This was a shame as I so looked forward to being there. Not everyone knows about coffee makers, as I did not. Coffee is very important for me, and it has ruined my day. Judith Canfield
