  “Close to Fukuyama station where you can access both shinkansen and local train. Near the train station, there are many restaurants. Also not too far to a local shopping center. The famous Fukuyama castle is just in a few minutes walk.”

  “The room, bed, bath, and TV were large and the free breakfast was good. They put me in a smoking room although I did not want that, but once I requested to change it they moved me. The non-smoking room did still smell a little bit smokey but not bad. There are free soft drinks and spirits on the first floor that guests can help themselves to.”

  “The building and the room were stunning. Extremely big, cleaned and comfortable. If you want to experience the slow-quite life mood of the village, you need to spend a night there. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus from Fukuyama to the main hotel (Ofutei Hotel), once the shuttle bus reservation is confirmed, ask about the bus stop information as it may be impossible without. Once arrived in Tomonoura you will be greet by the staff with a cold welcoming drink, and you will make the check-in. They don’t speak a fluent English, but honestly it’s not a big deal. Once the check-in will be completed, a member of the staff will bring you by car to the accommodation (4min car distance). The breakfast is generous and mainly traditional, with some little sweet-westerner style options too. If you have any food concerns or or requirements, be sure to inform them in advance.”

  “Homey, clean and cosy. The host was friendly and customer-oriented. Free coffee, green tea (on disposable cups, not shared mugs!), and chocolate sweets up for grabs. This would be my go-to place when I visit Fukuyama again. Within a walking distance from Matsunaga Station (15-20 minutes) and the central pharmacy with a wide range of food and beverages and other products at affordable prices!”
