    “the english speaking staff is very helpful. breakfast good. provides free coffee, tea and water 24 hours. two minutes walk from ski lift. free car park. unlike most japanese style hotels, bath is in service 24 hours.”

    “The location for this property is why we choose it- since we only had 3 days for skiing and it was a ski in ski out hotel. The challenge was that there wasn’t much else to choose from to eat- except their buffet style expensive restaurant. We almost paid the same amount for the food as for the room. The room itself was pretty cool with a Japanese style tatami mats and lounge area, but the beds were very old and mattresses were horrible. But we were so tired from skiing we didn’t care. The onsen was the highlight of the property and had incredible views of the mountain.”

    “I honestly booked this place because it was cheap and it turned out to be probably my all time favourite hostel. Such comfy and chill vibes and surprisingly well catered for a little place. The location is perfect too. Right near the main lifts for Tsugaike resort which is imo the best hill in Hakuba Valley. Definitely will be staying here again next time I'm in Hakuba.”

    “Came to Tsugaike alone for my snowboard instructor course. Enjoyed my stay in this cozy and quiet guesthouse, it is conveniently located under the "Bell slope", and only a 5 minute walk to the gondola on the other side of resort. The facility is clean and got everything I need especially the public bath and free washing machine which are essential for my long stay. Expect to meet the friendly Japanese family with their English speaking owner. You can choose to be served with homemade breakfast and dinner with variations everyday. Overall it is a good value for my long stay.”
